The maiko is Konomi. The geisha in dark purple kimono is Kogiki, and the one in purple and white stripes is Koemi, not Mameryo as said here. I 'd like so much to see more of Koemi.

Geisha make you happy, boost ur ego. Americans just watch TV and go watch sports to make them happy, is that so useless too? What kind of world do u live in where happiness & beauty is useless? Thats a world I don't want to visit.
I absolutely love the culture of Geiko and Maiko in Kyoto! Their kanzashi, kimono (especially the Maiko's furisode), and hair are so stunning! They must be resiliant girls to go through so much hard training and still have a smile on their face!

Er, that is incorrect I believe. There are some that do blog (maybe not maiko, though, and maybe not Gion). One geiko from Kamishichiken was (or still is ) doing just that.

I used to go to a maiko but now I see a geiko. Because . . . switching to a geiko can save me 15 percent or more on car insurance! :-D

the piece they were dancing in the end is really popular with geisha and maiko, it's called gion kouta, im pretty sure
