I watched Jim Kelly and Miami beat Ricky Lawrence and Virginia Tech in I think it was the Peach Bowl. First time I saw them, loved them with the orange and green, and that U on the helmets. In many years when Washington was down, I rooted on The U, my favorite Cane of all time being Michael Irvin. The U will be back!

UM only has about 34 thousand students at any time. If people expect that to be their entire fan-base or the only people worthy of being fans, going to games, or showing them love then they need to flush out their headgear.
The U stands for more than that school in CG. Its about the city, and life in and around it.

they were huddling around the heaters in 50 degree weather, we looked soft all night, i was at the game and saw cheerleaders in short skirts jumping in the same air all night and i didnt see any heaters around them, that performance last night disgusted me more than i've ever been disgusted in this particular team but i still say the future is bright i just wish i could say the same for the present.
Considering I watched every Miami game this year (my best friend is a die hard Canes even though we were roommates in college and I played receiver at USF while in school), Miami did slaughter USF and Georgia Tech, but the FSU game was a dropped three yard pass in the end zone from FSU opening with a W.
On the other hand, USF dominated FSU in Doak - I flew from AZ to the game (so who knows what the fuck happened when Miami came to Tampa and pounded us). I blame coaching... Go Bulls!
i think fsu just respects miami a lot more as its a much more heated rivalry so they all give 110% and leave it on the field which is why the Miami-Fsu game is always so entertaining to watch, it was clear that fsu didn't have that same respect for usf and usf is a team good enough to beat you if you don't respect them, Miami on the other hand realized what it had to lose in that game and respected usf enough to bring the A game and our A game was A LOT better than usf's
why didn't Miami give wisconsin that same respect i really dont know because i truly believe with our A game we beat wisconsin by atleast 3 touchdowns not only did we get dominated but it looked like more than half our team didn't even care the whole thing just left me scratching my head hopefully next year we see a more mature and CONSISTENT team
I can respect both of your posts (the post below this one, as well as the one I'm responding too). That Saturday, we got manhandled up and down the field by the U (it was demoralizing from my perspective and my buddies perspective who dreamed of the chance to play Miami at home in front of our crowd). I think this will be the only blowout in the remainder of the series (besides the 2005 game obviously). The next four games... splitting them is possible, just as possible as the U taking all four.
Maybe this year's team should go back and watch the old "U" video to see how Miami used to play. The team that showed up tonight makes me realize Miami played the game of their lives against USF. Pathetic... See ya in Miami next year bitches.

I was born and raised on the Purple and Gold of the University of Washington being from the Northwest, but there was just something about The U, the first time I saw them. I watched Jim Kelly and Miami beat Ricky Lawrence and Virginia Tech in I think it was the Peach Bowl. First time I saw them, loved them with the orange and green, and that U on the helmets. In many years when Washington was down, I rooted on The U, my favorite Cane of all time being Michael Irvin. The U will be back!

UM only has about 34 thousand students at any time. If people expect that to be their entire fan-base or the only people worthy of being fans, going to games, or showing them love then they need to flush out their headgear.
The U stands for more than that school in CG. Its about the city, and life in and around it.

they were huddling around the heaters in 50 degree weather, we looked soft all night, i was at the game and saw cheerleaders in short skirts jumping in the same air all night and i didnt see any heaters around them, that performance last night disgusted me more than i've ever been disgusted in this particular team but i still say the future is bright i just wish i could say the same for the present.

Considering I watched every Miami game this year (my best friend is a die hard Canes even though we were roommates in college and I played receiver at USF while in school), Miami did slaughter USF and Georgia Tech, but the FSU game was a dropped three yard pass in the end zone from FSU opening with a W.
On the other hand, USF dominated FSU in Doak - I flew from AZ to the game (so who knows what the fuck happened when Miami came to Tampa and pounded us). I blame coaching... Go Bulls!

i think fsu just respects miami a lot more as its a much more heated rivalry so they all give 110% and leave it on the field which is why the Miami-Fsu game is always so entertaining to watch, it was clear that fsu didn't have that same respect for usf and usf is a team good enough to beat you if you don't respect them, Miami on the other hand realized what it had to lose in that game and respected usf enough to bring the A game and our A game was A LOT better than usf's

I can respect both of your posts (the post below this one, as well as the one I'm responding too). That Saturday, we got manhandled up and down the field by the U (it was demoralizing from my perspective and my buddies perspective who dreamed of the chance to play Miami at home in front of our crowd). I think this will be the only blowout in the remainder of the series (besides the 2005 game obviously). The next four games... splitting them is possible, just as possible as the U taking all four.

i think the team Did go back and watch the U of old and instead of being inspired to match that intensity they got caught up in all the hype of what The U is because of what those teams of the 80's and early 90's did and began to think they'd win the game simply because they were the U instead of actually strapping on all the pads and going out on the field and Dominating the way The U is supposed to which is an overall attitude i haven't seen since the 07 team didnt even make it to a bowl game

Miami did manhandle us all game (as well as in 2005)... the music in general for this video is as soft as the Pillsbury doughboy. When I think of Miami, I think of the harder teams from the 80's through 2001. I couldn't even watch the whole video due to the soft music. When we change our coach out in the next couple of weeks, you'll a little more fight coming from the new "U" in Tampa.

I played football at USF... but seriously... this is not a Miami Hurricanes type song. I'd expect to hear this song with a Notre Dame highlight clip. A true Hurricanes song would have Luke Skywalker in the background receiving some head from hoe's. Ridiculous that a Hurricanes highlight film would be coordinated to some Enya type music.
