  • Awesome video, just subscribed!!!

  • You do know you can twist the top off right?

  • Sick!

  • @AlmaKarma1 LOL, ya I have videos and you watched it, which is more than I can say for your sorry-assed anime fag channel.

  • I've heard bad things about their fuchigashira. like the have a plastic feel, im going to either get the kaze, the tsuru ronin dojo pro, or a custom sword form huawei (not hanwei) kaze is everythingi want, but ive heard theres a good chance im gonna get a bad egg... i want a DH blade really bad, i like the kazes fittings (alot) and brown ito is a must.

  • @ZentetsukenVII Well, I don't want to steer you in any direction because it's your choice, but I think the Kaze is an amazing sword. It's probably the sword I would be least likely to part with. I treated the blade to an acid bath ( Warm vinegar and a drop of dish soap ) and ten re-polished with Mothers and the hamon jumped out beautifully. Like I said, i love my Kaze. No complains.

  • hows the tsuka on that sword, im really considering purchasing the kaze, brown ito through paul at sbg, i really donty wanna have to make a new one...

  • @ZentetsukenVII I know Cheness had a bad rep a few years ago do to cracked tsukas but that problem has long been addressed. Mine is solid. I love this katana.

  • Dude.... have you ever played the i touch app fruit ninja? You should take that game to the extreme and have someone toss fruit at you to slice!!!

  • i agree a glock would do the trick or a .22 to the head but you are going to attract unwanted attention with the noise & more chance of getting caught, my motto is live by the sword die by the sword, if i could machine my own silencer id do it your way, but only as a back up , ill always have a chop first, but good point always have back up in this ever growing corrupt society, as Baiden Powell said "be prepared''

  • @elliotoblio ur comments are 6 months old, but i honestly cannot resist replying to them. first, its illegal pretty much everywhere to carry a katana around. second, you've never killed anyone with a katana. third, you cannot and will not win in a fight using a sword against a firearm, which are legal to conceal carry on your person in many places. And finally, if you ever did have to defend your life and killed your attacker, you need not worry about noise. you'll be calling 911 to report it.

  • @Ronald3570 Yea but what about the zombies, i mean it takes time to reload clips and your not gonna carry more than a half dozen =P

  • @weallgotissues a quality katana is perfect for zombies. xD

of course you want a gun too, not only for incase theres too many zombies to fight with a melee weapon but for against looters or psychopaths. :P

  • do u know abount the japanese calcher

  • you are a bit to near to the table, it would look a lot better if a bit back.

  • i kinda imagined that sword getting out of that box while you're plating that flute then dances

  • @icecrimson hahahahahahahahahaha

  • You CAN make the cut- UBC!

Another great vid for Randy... great job, man. I love my Kaze... even if it's not worth the price anymore. Mine is the sharpest sword I've ever cut with as well, although it's only that way since it was sharpened by Tom K. ;-)

I especially loved the cut at the end where the tops just flipped over and landed in the bottom. Pity that the stand wasn't wider, or they both would've stayed upright.

  • I really liked it man. The playing in the beginning, I thought for sure that sword would slither out of that box like a cobra. lol just joking really good video, it's good to see someone so passionate as you out there still. Check out my small video abusing bottles with my homemade double edged sword type in 515030ful and you'll find it, comment back.

  • @sub7viet and you're just another pimple-faced Youtube troll with absolutely nothing to contribute.

  • @Jeeperrandy like you're something special. problem with samurai type guys is their ego inflates before destroying something. we're all pitiful compared to the perfect.

  • @biohax Thanks for taking the time from playing video games in your basement bedroom in your parents house to comment.

  • @sub7viet The Cheness Kaze is made from 9260 silicon-alloy spring steel and it is differentially heat-treated, giving it a very hard edge. The ha has been sharpened using a polishing/stropping technique which brings the edge to a sharpness unequaled by any other blade. It is by far the sharpest of my 16 katanas.

  • @sub7viet Your comment shows you know nothing at all about real nihonto. Japanese swordsmiths are limited by the government as to how many swords they can make, and who can buy them, as they are considered national treasures. In fact, the Japanese swordsmiths themselves carry the status of national treasures. Apprenticeship takes many years and is a very honored position reserved for a select few.

  • i can tell you have a lot of fun making your videos

  • my blade broke after this

  • Nice sword

  • Whats your opinion on this sword? would you recommend it?

    Great video by the way(:

    5stars!

  • The Kaze by Cheness is awesome . It holds the sharpest edge of any of my katanas , due to the differentially hardened 9260 silicon alloy spring steel, and it is my favorite cutter.

In my opinion it is among the best cutters in the price range.

  • Congratulations for the video. Since i want to buy a Kaze, i have a question for you. Does it have some body built into it's profile ("niku", aka "meat" of the blade)?

  • Yes, the Cheness Kaze has a traditional niku profile.

  • hyahyahy 3:10 was verry cool how the top of the bottle landed on the other piece

  • Comments removed, sorry Jeeper I guess this is all I could expect from an old man.. :D

Sorry for being a jerk.. hehe

  • LOL, no worries man.

  • Feel free to post a video of yourself cutting 70+ water bottles and leaving them all standing.

I'm sure it would be a huge Youtube hit.

  • the bottle is acting like your body would if he were to cut your head off, you wouldn't stay standing.

  • you know the water sloshing around probably tipped the bottle's over, if you watch very carefully when it is in slow mo he his finished his cut before the bottle ever touched the ground

  • lol i love the last seen, Then the dead bodies...i mean bottles will rain blood... i mean water over the land

  • lol al gore is gonna be pissed

  • Naw, the bottles get recycled , and they fit better in the bin after I cut them up, LOL. The recycling plant shreds them anyway.

  • well the cut is considered good when the bottles doesnt get pushed over...

  • the other bottles could have had a domino effect and knocked each other over

  • well you try cutting tinny bottles they will almost always move this isnt anime where you can cut something then like an hour later it falls

  • its due to the sword not being sharp, Cheness only seem to sharpen their swords at the tips ? (cost cutting i guess ) yes it should glide through that bottle & leave the base standing, but its obvious the blade isnt sharp enough,a bit of a worry for a brand new blade ?

  • @elliotoblio well in kendo we learned that all cuts are supposed to be done with the tip section of the sword... the base and middle are supposed to be sturdy to resist parrying and blade branding...

  • well, thats quite obvious if you look at the design of the katana, its made for slashing, you burk ! but those make believe battles you practice in your dojo just dont always work in the real world, when your walking down a back alley & get jumped by a gang of thugs , you need that blade to besharp from tip to toe, you need to make some heads role, tell me have you cut the head off a scum bag punk ? ive done that & plenty more, you need the blade fully sharp for when you chop chop his parts. .

  • @elliotoblio well if im in an alley, in real life, modern time, i would use a 9mm, not a sword, thanks =)

  • you really live in a beautiful place...nice cuts...

  • Looks like someone is about to have a thirsty picnic and then..... Bam!

  • i like it, the intro creates a very nice atmosphere, great location btw.

  • Yeah man! You show those water bottles whose boss!! Nice filming/atmosphere - very cool.

  • heheh, thanks

  • 3:12 insanely gd cut (y)

  • hey hattori hanzo, get to the cutting dude, i'll look up woodwinds if i want to see someone play flute.

  • LOL, ya , my intro was a little 'long-winded'.

I'll try to keep the artistic stuff toned down.

  • i like the artistic stuff, it sets the mood. besides they are called "martial arts" for a reason.

  • yea the artistic stuff is cool haha, where is this area in the beggingin? looks liek a nice relaxing place

  • It's the property just behind mine. A little further down the river from the road and noise. Very nice especially early in the morning.

  • I kinda figured a japanese flute would be higher-pitched.

  • Lol, i have a traditional flute obbsession, I have yet to get and asian one though... They have a nice sound.

  • LOL, actually, this one is a Balinese suling. It sounds a lot like a Japanese flute but it is played differently.

  • lol, i couldent tell... but there are so many types of flutes and whistles, its hard to keep up with it all... lol

  • Dang, this vid. is so cool, makes me want to cut,

    5 stars randy, great job . . .

  • Thanks. I like to put something a little different into each video.

    :-)

  • I just ordered a cheness tenchi. Do you think that will be sharper than the kaze?

  • The Kaze and Tenshi have the exact same blade available with or without bohi and are both very sharp.

  • I haven't looked at the other comments but watching the video made me both thirsty and I needed to go to the bathroom quick :) Good cinematography I enjoyed the vid.

    Fred

  • Thanks Fred

  • Wow, Randy great video!

The cut @ 3:08 was awesome...

Setting yourself up with a few more cameras at different angles on same shot would've top'd it... next time eh?

    Keep it up!

  • ya, like I can afford 'more cameras', LOL.

Already working on a new video that should be pretty cool. Watch for it in October.

  • Very well done. Props.

  • Thanks much. I had fun making this one.

  • I can see that, you probably were in a cheerful mood if you decided to shave with it. ;-)

  • Nicely done randy! think you could email me some o that?

  • Done

    :-)

  • Thanks a ton bro! i like your facebook page BTW

  • Man, that was really fun to watch !

Great editing and the quality is really good !

Nice cutting and keep it up :)

    Lou

  • 3:08-3:11 Very nice!

    Awesome video Randy!

Love the angles and slo-mo. :)

  • I'm glad you liked it. I can't wait to cut some mats with this sword.

  • No, this is a clay-tempered blade. All it needs is a good wipe-down and some fresh oil on it after cutting.

  • nice cuts bro. ummm no joke i'm really thirsty after watching that.

  • This video rocks. I love the setting.

  • Thanks

    :-)

  • great vid, great cutting, very stylish, like a movie!
