I actually liked the music in this game a lot more than in the original. Yeah, the David Bowie/50 Cent mix was awesome, and the Daft Punk Megamixes were pure bliss, but they just didn't fit the club aesthetic. This game focuses more on making music that you can dance to, music that you can actually play at a club and people won't throw things at you.

And, by the way, did you really diss "Speed Rail/I Will Be Here"? Negative points, man. Negative points.

Honestly, the game really doesn't need more Daft Punk. The last game had like 8 tracks based around Daft Punk music. DJ Hero 2 has one Daft Punk track in Human After All. Do you really need more than 9 tracks based around one group split between two games? No, you really don't unless you're an absolutely huge Daft Punk fan.

dj hero 2 was more pop the original was more hip hop, i guess they changed the whole look and feel of the game to appeal to more people and make the game more mainstream. anyways if your a fan of old school hip hop or rap get the first one and if your into more pop and dance get the second one.

@DMeredith15 uhh probably too late but buy dj hero 2 over dj hero 1 because it has the continues play option so the mixes really flow into eachother instead of just stopping the music and playing the new selected track (dj hero 1)

dj hero 1 is more old skool and rock and dj hero 2 is more modern hip hop pop.

now don't completely ignore the 2nd one. like the reviewer, i'm more of a rock/metal person and to be honest. i really enjoyed the soundtrack in this game to my surprise. i guess you have to be more open minded. what "makes" you love it is the fun factor and the awesome mixes by real dj's. it's hard to explain. i don't know how i came to enjoy this particular genre. dont skip this one.

lol the music is the #1 improvement. dj hero 1 gameplay was the one of the best gameplays ever. thats why they made dj hero 2, its to implement the awesome gameplay into a game with some more possibilities (as in empire and multiplayer). i cant blame you for your taste of music, but i rather like the sequel. I personally think that there could be no better setlist than this one. tho i have to admit that i however do NOT own the game, but thats because all my money goes into Real dj gear ((:
