There was no way they could beat Totmianina&Marinin. Not the same class of skating, both technically and what was more obvious - the presentation.Jumps -out of synch, DS- bad positions of both,sbs spins- awfull(out of synch, bad positions, travelling, too far apart),pair spin - travelling all around, too slow, bad body positions;step seq- sloppy,throw - his technique doesn't look good,twist - high but wild landing.

I think the least you can ask for to an olympic silver medalist pair is be able to do a triple tweest in the short program and not fall down in the free. They are very good but were overrated, like in the Trophee Bompard 2007 and in so many other competitions.
Actually akkto the double TWIST was a required element, according to the ISU rules that were applying during the 2006 olympics, the twist required was a double, and i think they're very capable of doing a triple twist, but you can check on the ISU page and even Totmianina and Marinin were given by the technical pannel a double twist because that was the required one. Nobody cluld have beaten T&M, they were awesome, but let's face they were the ones overrated in this one.
the music is KASHMIR by LED ZEPPELIN. And i love this chinese pair. they are super. especially after the fall in the long program. it moved everyone, myself included
Great program. They lack a little bit of polish, but they're one of the most athletic pairs I've ever seen. Everything is so explosive, and that throw was absolute perfection.
I thought they fell in the 2006 olympics...

Their death spirals are beautiful. Their salchows and side by side camels were very synchronized. They're last pair spin was just awesome looking.
