If it is True, that the Goverment is of the people, for the people, by the people, the people we Elect....... Should have the Same, Health Care Plan, as yhe people, thay Represeant ? no more no less..
The one good thing about Ryan's budget proposal is that it will put a lot of right wingers out of thier jobs and homes. They'll have to move in with the kids who won't have jobs either. Many will die from lack of proper affardable health care. I'm all for that
Rep Neal IGNORANTLY does what all ProgLibDems do everytime cutting, or in this case REPEALing a tax comes into question... Rep Neal says - "The cost of that (repealing AMT) is $1 trillion FEWER dollars in the Federal Treasury over the next decade"
BULLSHIT
you CAN NOT calculate, EVER, the "cost" of a tax cut. the economy is not a static thing. the economy is DYNAMIC. it fluctuates, it grows, shrinks, etc. but claiming tax cuts COST money is IMPOSSIBLE
Wow, I was a little taken back by how the CNBC girls were taking Paul Ryan's viewpoint. Don't get me wrong, I think that is AWESOME! For once a Democrat is under fire. Rightly so. Bush is no longer in office and they need to take him out of the argument.
If Richard Neal gets re-elected this November, he's going to be chairman of Ways and Means. Vote Tom Wesley (see wesleyforcongress channel) and get him out!
Neal is just plain wrong on this. The AMT tax is always looming over the middle class because it wasn't adjusted for inflation. Because Congress fixes it every year, it never really hits the middle class. So this is why it doesn't make any sense for Richard Neal to say that it should be replaced with a new tax. There's no revenue (from the middle class) to be replaced!!
Get hacks like this out of Congress and put Tom Wesley in his place. Vote for Tom in November 2010.
I have been reading a US history book. It states that the republican founders were all liberatarian (for maximum freedom for individuals) If we as Americans want to feel that we can achieve everything and feel the hope our founders felt, we must go back to liberatarian ideology.
Dear God, I would love to see Representative Ryan in a Presidential Debate with President Obama. This guy is so logical, so informed, he wipes the floor with anyone who argues against him.
@camoody1 I could really see Ryan taking himself to the top for a presidential bid. But knowing how intelligent he is, I bet he's going to wait for a few more grey hairs to grow in first. Then he'll look the part, too.
Neal is no match for Ryan on this issue or any you can ever possibly think of past, present or future...Neal has two viable opponents in this years 2nd Massachusetts U.S. Congressional District...Jay Fleitman M.D. and Tom Wesley...Either one would serve the 2nd
with capability,capacity,intellect and magnanimity..

Really? Who founded the KKK? guess what it was the democrats!!! Who throughout history has voted against civil rights. Guess what the democrats. Who started the eradication of blacks in 1939? Margaret Sanger (Hillary Clinton's mentor). What President said "I will never have a photo taken by a black man!" Franklen D Roosevelt (a democrat). Who was the grand wizard of the KKK Harry Truman (another democra). So who is the racist?
@pandabead I agree. The democrats were racists and still are. They ingratiate themselves with the minorities with their fake smiles and tell them they're victims who have a living owed to them. They think the blacks are too stupid to think for themselves or take care of themselves. That is racism!!

@deficithawker what is funny, and quite idiotic (though selectively, not surprisingly) is how & when you CHOOSE to use the term "estimate(d)"
you CHOOSE to "estimate the cost" by ASSUMING it reduces revenue
then you CHOOSE not to use the word "estimated" when referring to "projected deficit"
then you CHOOSE to claim "The extension has a budgetary cost of 550 billion in 2011"
so you want to estimate the 'cost' of a tax cut, but you want to attribute a definitive "cost" in the end

The late Congressman Sonny Bono wasn't even buried when Neal eulogized him as a mediocre Representative which
was totally unfair and a classless thing to
say. Bono was relatively new to the House and had just mastered the
parlimentary rules. ( Something Senator
Brown has been learning after being
sworn in.

he could NEVER win going into any detail
with the fiscally savvy young Legislator
Ryan.
