Yes, the engine is still fitted with the VVC.

It was done by a company in Germany Komo-Tec in Mendig (very close to the Nürburgring).

They specialize on Lotus Elise/Exige.

Yes! it's been done, a local lass to me had a lot of involvement in the project aswell, she likes her fast cars! :D

The T series turbo in this case had come in for a few internal mods and was pushing around 320 horses, doesn't sound a lot, but with the increased redline of the T and the light weight of the car, it's quite a track weapon by all accounts!!!

Whats it like to mount the engine? Do you know if the gear linkage needs work done to it? Iam running 320bhp+50bhpnos. With disel gearing and emerald k3 managment in my 220 turbo. I have some vids. I need to find a Lotus elise cheep.

@mattyhotrod: Sure. My buddy got his turbo for his Elise Mk1 (yes, with Rover K) from a tuner in Germany: Komo-tec. This is where I got the supercharger for my 111R as well.

Thanks for the info! Another quick question: Does your Elise have very noisy front suspension? Mine knocks like hell, especially at low speeds, and I was wondering if this was a general fault, or maybe I need to take it to the dealer?

No, not really. Even when I had the original Bilstein kit it was never noisy really. I now have the Öhlins Track&Sport suspension. What a leap over the original kit!
