  • Unbelievable. I personally prefer this to many others simply because of the clarity this kid gives each note.

  • Given his age ... Best musician I have ever heard !

  • Resplendent.

  • I don't know who he was, but for the time, that's a pretty good sounding or mastered sono !! I find Mr Kogan violin less interesting on the richness of timbre !!!!

  • Its a great recording, and Michaeel Rabin was remarkable, but i feel sorry that he was not able to Blossom into a violinists that had a child hood, and played because he had the natural liking. I wish people would start their children off so soon, no matter what they wont be a prodigy if they desire the dream or the natural ability, or they wont even make it in the violin world if they dont have the desire.

  • @ericgable wouldnt

  • @ericgable

What's a childhood compared to creation of great art?

  • @Easleytee Oh, some guy appearantly somewhere above us, please stop these jealous @ssholes from posting ridiculous posts about childhood 'n stuff

  • What violin did he play? Anyone know?

  • Espectacular! Y siendo apenas un niño! Sorprendente y estupendamente ejecutado. Bravo!

  • This is astounding! I play violin, but I this level of playing is so high that it's almost surreal.

  • It's Spiccato. but he play betetr that all. very good quality of sund.

  • watch how Leonidas Kavakos plays this!

  • Its improper to speak about other violinists when MR (at the age of 12-13!!!!!) is playing. This was a prodigy of prodigies. Show respect.

  • @4LX1M1K I think Kavakos is the greatest violinist before the public today and one of the greatest of all violinists, right up there with Heifetz and Rabin.

  • Great intonation!!!

  • Stunning! Bravo! TY.

  • I think I read somewhere that he was actually 12 when he recorded these. If he WAS 12 then this is simply incredible. If 14, then STILL incredible!

  • Rabin was Galamian's best student. Galamian said that he had no weaknesses in his playing.

  • and remember that this is a true performance. NO splicing of any kind done in 1950. I'm sure he played it 2 or 3 times and simply chose the best take.

    Amazing!

  • Muy bueno, pero prefiero una version más rápida, como la de Alexander Markov.

  • all hail michael rabin. it is such a shame that he passed so early in life. i bought this cd when you had to claw and scratch to find ANYONE that could order this for you (before the internet was here). you must truly listen to all of his work to appreciate what he had to offer!

  • he is a true prodigy and a master. too bad he had to leave the world at such young age

  • wow., fantastic! thanks for posting it.

  • well, he is incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sorry, I didn't look at info. He was 14. Incredible!

  • What was his age, when he plays this Caprice?

  • Thanks :3
