1. Well, for the fading out it's a transition, if you go to 2D transitions then select the very first one, that's it! :D
2. Ah.. Ok, little bit more complicated, well, I made the clips, then I cut the first three frames off of them, then set the black and white effect on the frames I cut, and that it ^_^
