This recorded communication between Chief Orio Palmer of Batallion 7 and Ladder 15 is harrowing to listen to, yet it is the sound of true heroism in action. Palmer reached the 78th floor sky lobby of WTC2, and I can just imagine what he saw amidst the raging fire and smoke. This is where Flight 175 had hit. The "numerous 1045 Code 1's" were the hundreds of people on that floor who lay dead there in front of him. You can almost hear the harrowing agony and sorrow in his voice. Heroes All.
