It happend to my sisters friend, she's only 11 and it has spread to her feet and now her bones are starting to crack in weird places like her kneee all the time, and thumbs.. she tried to explain to her parents but they think she's going crazy...
An improved diet can make a difference: as little sugar as possible except from fruit, a lot of fish, lean mean, eggs. No alcohol, and some natural relaxing herbs: valerian, hawthorn. High doses of magnesium (but I guess you tried this one).
@UWHUSKY4 I volunteer with the ALS Association in my area and have seen what this illness does, not to mention how difficult it is to diagnose ALS. To immediately jump to ALS is absurd. First off all, the beginning symptoms of ALS are not, they are extreme weakness and clumsiness usually in an extremity such as an arm(s) or leg(s). The clincher will be that a person with ALS will have extremely (I mean *extremely*) painful charley horse like spasms (not like this) throughout this body...
@UWHUSKY4 ... predominantly in their face, especially in their tongue, their cheeks, their jaw, etc. plus the rest of their body (but especially in their face). And those are just the very beginning stages, not benign tremors like this. I have these exact same tremors in my face, hands, and legs and I have epilepsy and these are nothing, especially in comparison with my seizures. I find it offensive, especially working and being with people who have ALS, that you would assume you have it.
I have the same problem but it's happening throughout my whole body. I feel like there is a current running through me and my body needs to get it out by making a body part twitch. If I focus on my hand it will look just like this. I am 24 years old :/
I only get it in my left hand, usually my index or middle finger for less than 5 seconds. It's now progressed to my whole hand on occasion, but it's nothing as intense or long as yours.
did ur EMG came back normal ? i got twitches in my whole body randomly too
EMG was normal i can still do everything tough altough i get pains in my neck now comes and go's pains everywhere not hard pain more like chewing pain small pains but very anoying i wich you the best ! x
I still have not found out what the cause of this is. Its getting worse. The twitching is going up my arm now. I just loose control and its hard to pick up objects.
@vanessahogan03 if you find out what it is I would love to know I have the exact same problem and its making small things like writing or typing hard as hell
yes i get muscle spasms all the time too bro dont need a doctor but if u really are freaked then go but its ur LAcid acid in ur muscles moving thru it its weird
i don't get those particularly, but i do get twitches on the muscle between my thumb knuckle and fore finger knuckle. That's just on my hands though. I also get twitches on my thigh, shoulder, triceps, cheeks. it gets really annoying. happens 4-5 times a day. i learned to live with it just cause i don't want to bother going to the doctors only for them to dismiss me and tell me i'm too young to get anything serious (i'm 22) like a couple other ones did. good luck!
