  • I think the blue wolf just lost his lunch. XD

  • AHAHAHA!! "I need a job, gimme a break!"

  • What did Kermit REALLY mean when he said "that's lunch"?

  • Maybe he meant that it was time for all of them to get some lunch to eat. I guess Kermit wanted to quickly hire three pigs and a big bad wolf and then go on his lunch break which could be the reason what he meant when he said "that's lunch" when the wolf said "shall we rehearse" so that was probably Kermit's way of saying "not now, it's time for me to eat some lunch."

  • I believe that's show biz talk for "It's time for a lunch break."

  • @muppetfan33

This skit sure scared the begeezus out of me as a child....I remember vividly crying when the wolf was chasing the pigs O_O

  • Elevator shoes wow that first wolf is really desperate the economy was really bad back then LMAO!

  • Performers in this sketch:

    Kermit - Jim Henson

    Wolf 1 - Frank Oz

    Wolf 2 - Richard Hunt

    Wolf 3 - Jerry Nelson

  • @1RichardHunt

Might you know any of the performers who played the three little pigs?

  • THAT'S LUNCH!

  • Now that I see this again its HILARIOUS!

  • If I was Kermit, I'd fear for my life, too. But why did he run? It was the pigs the wolf wanted, not the frog.

  • Probably Kermit wasn't trying to run away from the wolf. I think he was just trying to stop the wolf from chasing the pigs so the wolf won't eat them. I can tell that Kermit was trying to stop the wolf since he said "wait a second, wait wait wait" from 2:04-2:07. Also, I think as the pigs were running from the wolf, they were pushing Kermit out of the way when Kermit was trying to stop everyone. Plus from 2:23-2:28, the wolf had Kermit cornered but, he didn't try to eat him.

  • At first glance, I would have thought the medium sized bad wolf was big enough.

  • I would have thought the same thing too but, maybe the reason Kermit didn't hire him was because, he didn't look scary enough and his voice didn't sound scary enough either but, the third wolf was definitely the biggest and his voice sounded loud and scary (especially with his echo) and it showed his teeth with his mouth closed which made him look even more scarier. (It did show the little and medium sized wolves teeth but, their teeth are only seen with their mouths open and not closed).

  • The "big" bad wolf sounds like he sometimes eats a lot of cookies and wears blue monster fur... ;)

  • I ment the first wolf. :)

  • I think the appearance of the BBW is one of the few times on SS when characters actually fear for their lives.

  • LOL, the big bad wolf looks like Herry Monster!

  • and the little bad wolf kind of looks like Splinter from the Ninja Turtles...only he's not a rat

  • yeah

  • When TMNT first came out, I used to think Splinter was a wolf. That is, until the Turtles specifically called him a rat. ;)

  • That Big Bad Wolf used to scare the crap out of me when I was little.

  • I'm not surprised. I guess that's why they redesigned the puppet back in 1987

  • I'd certainly give the part to that big bad wolf if I was in Kermit's shoes...or whatever.

  • I loved this as a kid. What year was this from?

  • XD! I love the crazy chase scene at the end.

  • On Halloween 2006, I wore this goofy rubber wolf mask at my Halloween party (I even went trick-or-treating with some of my friends) and I imitated Jerry Nelson's Big Bad Wolf voice whenever I wore the mask

  • funny..the first wolf sounded like a cross between bert and cookie monster

  • Hey yeah, he kinda DOES, doesn't he?

"Okay, here I come, here I come, here I come. Alright, here I am, the Big Bad Wolf. Here I am." LMAO

  • funny, the first wolf was frank oz, who did the voice of both bert and cookie monster (and a whole lot more)

  • Yeah, he also did Fozzie Bear on the Muppet Show. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! By the way, that was me impersonating Fozzie's laugh.

  • frank oz was always uncomfortable about doing voices and his voices tend to sound real similar

  • Really? I never knew that.

  • frank has said this many times in diff interveiws, thats prob why as fozzie he is most himself, shy insecure and a a loyal friend. btw dave goelz also was not a fan of singing, and dreaded to sing

  • Fascinating bit of trivia.

  • Where did you get this from?

  • Second Old school dvd.

  • Oh, this must of been the insparation for the muppet show!

  • The big bad wolf sounds like Harry! And I loved the "not easy being green" part.

    ~Ra'akone

  • The Big Bad Wolf also looks kinda like Herry Monster!

  • I never for got this one! That last wolf, talk about being perfect for the role!

  • The Small Bad Wolf sounds just like Fozzie Bear and the Middle-Sized Green Bad Wolf sounds like Sweetums!

  • I don't recall seeing this when I was younger. I learned about it on Muppet Wiki and hoped it would get uploaded.

Now, does anyone have the clip where the pigs are at the police station and are trying to identify the Big Bad Wolf? That clip also has a Little Bad Wolf.

  • who voiced the Pigs?

  • Since only two of them speak,Jerry Nelson and Richard Hunt.

  • @wattamack4

If you look down the page, you will see that I asked the same question. I guess I should have read all of the posts before I went ahead and asked a question that had already been answered! Sorry!

  • @wattamack4

And I thought Frank Oz was gonna be the third pig.
