Maybe jazz could be revived but he might not be able to be revived cause he has been dead a long time and he also has been in very deep water and it destroys transformers circuits.

Bay killed off Jazz because he was the most likeable character from the first autobots. When someone that the audience likes gets killed off, its a signal to the audience that "shit just got real". Bay did the same thing to Ironhide in the last one.

There is a movie plot they couldve used to bring all the autobots back -.- but michel bay isnt smart enough to figure it out so I wont mention it... but yes there is a way to bring autobots back that are beyond repair it was shown in the FIRST transformers ANIMATED movie. It was also further explained in season 3 about how "they" were skilled at doing it. good luck figureing it out that is if your a true transformers fan.

in the first movie ratchet did try to save jazz, it was off screen but he tells optimus that he couldn't save him.

in the new one Iron hide was dissolved into very small corroded chunks of scrap metal... i don't know about you but i can't take a decomposed skeleton and bring it back as a full human again.

Apparently, their reason for killing Jazz off was because the Pontiac was being discontinued, and they wouldn't be able to use it in the second film. I call bullshit on that. First off, Jazz could easily just scan another car like Bumblebee did, and second, I think it would have made Optimus look MORE heroic if he came in gun a'blazing BEFORE Megatron managed to rip Jazz in half.

The one TRAGIC mistake in the first movie: Jazzes death. In the second movie it was sideswipes coloration and WHERE THE HELL IS SUNSTREAKER!!!!! But other than that, Micheal Bay did a pretty good job. RIP JAZZ!
