@nanocalp I suggest looking for the Tribes Repack (google it), then you'll be patched and have the new community master servers set up and ready to go.
in not for HM, i put this up for a example for some others on a game forum .
a true game mod is material that all players need to play . HM really classifies as a cheat the way it works . now if you had a server dedicated to HM that had a module that you dl or that the server used for the same effects then you could call it a mod. otherwise its not a mod at all .
Happymod looks like it is for people who have no skill. Takes some of the best things out of the game. Much like the COD4 hacks where you just point in the general direction of anyone and get instant headshots. Base tribes was great though.
One other thing, if tribes was real life (hahaha) then don't you think these people in flying armor with crazy weapons whould have "Advanced Radar"? I think they would, and thats what HM represents to me, a part of the game that should have been in the package at release.
HM ruins the game for everyone else because not everyone has it; real players don't want to cheat. I just played a DD server with a guy named Ellis D, an HM user. It ruined the experience for me. HM players only think of themselves, not anyone else. They are probably socially deprived failures that want to be good at something, even if it means ruining it for everyone else. Ellis D may be a better killer/cheater, but I do not respect his skill at all; I respect fair players like {HoG}Silencer.
Here is how I see it. Tribes started with "base" then people made mods! Ren,troc,duel,etc whatever mods you want, then someone made another mod Happymod! it's just another addition to a great game. Easytarget, who I play with/against for years, is correct, Accept Change, adopt the mod! I played for years without it until myself and many of my friends Adopted it because it was being used by everyone, it's part of them game and nothing to be ashamed of, You still need Skillz to shoot my friends!

Still, I kinda like having people with happy mod usually; otherwise the game would be way too easy. (I won't touch HM or anything, yet I get accused of this and that; which always makes me wonder what would happen if I DID give into the dark side)

Only good thing is that, in a 9-ish year old game, the best players are going to be able to smoke them little h@x0r wannabes with ease, even without the advantage.

Maybe, but a lot of servers now are "Kigen's Edit", and HM users still play there.

Also, one thing I noted is that the LIGHT, SCOUT class player we are looking through has 7 weapons a MORTAR.
I only found one mod on another game that is in the same n00b league as this. Hats off to the wimp who made this mod.
