  • Troy polamalu got watched this video and then used it vs the Titans :P

  • thats my freinds uncle!

  • 23 people got knocked the crap out of on a football return

  • The difference between Rugby and American football is like having sex with or without protection. If you don't use protection ( rubgy), is more dangerous. I know , i lost my memory for some time...

  • @ioanpena And with protection you feel invincible and start throwing your body around. Dont get me wrong rugby is hard as nails, but football players feel invincible and throw their bodies around like this guy in the video did, and the gear they wear doesnt prevent anything really, tons of players have had many concussion, broken limbs, and been paralyzed its more of a collision sport.

  • great play. but, lets face it, he wouldn't tackle like that if he didnt have the helmet and pads to protect him.

  • @UserOfCommonSense I don't think anyone would want to hit like they do in football if they didn't. I mean, even with the pads, you get a bit disoriented delivering the hit. I should know.

  • Maybe poorly titled, but an insane play.

  • Someone just unleshed beast mode

  • I've only ever imagined in my mind that someone could ever jump over a wedge...

  • he tackled him with his ass..lol

  • somone took an extra dose of rabies today that dude was wired

  • Alema used to be my school counselor at PCS. Cool dude. Too bad the Chargers didn't pick him up when they had the chance.

  • Alema used to be my school counselor at PCS. Cool dude. Too bad the Chargers didn't pick him up when they had the chance.

  • what the fuck does this have to do with rugby?

  • This Is My Coach :)

  • dude! this is AMERICAN FOOTBALL! you cant compare football and rugby these 2 are completly different sports!

  • Comment removed

  • that was a great hit yeah, not the greatest football hit

  • Shame Rugby is a mans sport it hurts

many cultures when football is compared to it

  • YES!!!!

  • ASS against HEAD and a bit too happy about it - the guy wasn't even held in the "tackle" (or dropped the ball) and could carry on running... if this was a proper sport

  • @adv1fuoco2supermoto3 the guy to a full on collision to the head... im pretty sure u couldnt and wouldnt have the balls to return a kick,

  • STUPID... the guy had no control... just leap and hope! Surely a tackle must have your arms wrapped around the player, not ass on helmet... even in this butchered form of Rugby... but this is American.

  • @adv1fuoco2supermoto3 Butchered form of rugby? Why do you guys constantly compare? You really seem to not know this sport at all.

  • Go BYU Cougars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who cares about the title, that was still an awesome hat.

Would like to see an NFL player kill it at rugby game though. or practice.

  • @ttabet5555 hat?? =]

  • sorry but this was a gay and accidental hit

  • i still dont get where the rugby is in this video..what, just cuz its a jump tackle? dude got lucky, hell he barely even hit the return man..id much rather be this kick returner than take an airborne shoulder to the head in a rugby match

  • COM

  • man rugby is way more harder then wearing all that shit. played both n none of this offensive n defensive sides u play the 80 mins!

  • @jackoead107 Well you must have played it a low level. Because ive played rugby for a club here in my city for about a year, had to stop because of work. But even tho ive actually played it i know i was playing it at a very low level. Played at higher levels both sports are tough.

  • only a dumbass call this a rugby hit....in rugby that would be an illegal because he didnt wrap up......form tackling is a must in rugby

  • I don't think you have 2 brain cells to rub together as evidenced by the title of this video.

  • is that penn state byu is playing?

  • football is more like 6 seconds a play

  • alryt yo it has nuthin to do bout rugby but dnt hate juz enjoy that hit haha

  • @Samoa8055 are you black?

  • um, this has absolutely squat to do with rugby. besides carrying a ball the two sports are different. you can't compare them. if i was to say which one is harder, not having played Amercian football i'd say rugby because we're not wearing pads or helmets which increases the risk of injury. welcome to debate on this but the equipment that the other sport uses you can say make for a spectacular clash of body's. but still, rugby is harder nd u play for more than 30secs a play.

  • I'm aware of more concussions in Football than Rugby, just sayin. And I'm a fan of both so I'm trying to be objective here.

  • Dude.. You're just saying that you've played both, so that people would think that rugby is much harder xD It's like Em1S said, you can not compare the two sports. And it was scientifically proven that a football hit is harder. But in rugby you don't wear pads so it can feel harder getting the hit.

  • where the fuk is rugby here !!! dumbass

  • whoooooooooaaa!

  • Ok how exactly does this have anything to do with rugby, secondly rjdawg19 i believe both games are physical and both are tough to play, you can't say that one is tougher than the other because they are completely different. But both are physical sports. And Ratakukinen learn to spell its not "thougher" it's "tougher but what can i expect from a dumb american redneck.

  • ahahahahahahha you dumbfuck im swedish hahahahahhaha, and yes you can say football is tougher. If you make a tackle not breaking the rules in both sports you will see that football hurts more...

  • I'v played both, and rugby hits are alot harder.

  • You are the first guy ever saying that rugby is harder, and no still dont think its harder.

  • fredred210 you are wrong. I play rugby and football. trust me football is a way tougher sport.

  • @rjdawg19 finally !!! thanks man

  • Ya'll idiots saying rugby is thougher is stupid, Pick out rugbys hardest hitter versus Ray lewis, and see who can make the hardest hits legaly in the game, in football you dont have to wrap up to tackle another player which means that you can go full speed and full power right in to him, dont think thats legal in rugby, which makes it very hard to make such a hard tackle.

  • i think i need to just spell it out to every stupid american thats too ignorant to judge something fairly without being a twat about it and just arguing for football becuase thats the one they play.

THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT YOU HAVE TO BE TOUGH TO PLAY FOOTBALL BUT RUGBY DOUBLES THE STANDARDS OF TOUGHNESS

TO PLAY RUGBY YOU ACTUALLY NEED BALLS COS YOU HAVENT GOT PADS TO STOP YOURSELF FROM GETTIN HURT

SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU CUNTS

YOURE NOT HARD -- YOU ARE ALL UNFIT THATS WHAT

    WANKERS

  • @fredred210 Im not even american you cuntfuck.

Well then, do you play rugby though guy ?

  • stop speaking jubris so people can understand u chap

  • @fredred210 and btw, if you wouldnt have pads in football you would probably die..

  • Dude, you're talking like you want to convince yourself or something. You say you got to have balls to play rugby, then if you got so much balls go in on the footballfield. Test being a receiver and try catch the ball while your getting a hard tackle in the back. or as a runningback and run stright in to a linebacker twice the size as you. After that you might not say that it's lame..

  • @Yatzuu agreed m8

  • jesus dont get too excited only a shitty tackle, american football is for wimps

  • @gerrocks haha and youtube has really made a tough guy out of you. XD

  • lol that was soft

can't believe they need padding for that weak shit

  • I can assure you, I've played both rugby and american football-there is nothing soft about these pads. take a helmet to helmet hit and I guarantee your mind will change about this being soft.

  • @b0m83d weak shit? stfu you ignorant fools have probably never even played it, its been proven football it harder.

  • thats what im talking about

  • BAM

  • Nice hit mourman!

  • soft cocks need pads to play ur shit game

  • @jaybsbabes and bitches like you need the internet to feel tough.

  • holy crap! that was a nice hit.

  • wow!

I saw something similar in a North-South game I played in around a year ago!

    this is way sicker, tho!

  • why are faggots giving joemulu thumbs downs? he doesn't have the street cred on the internet cause he respects both sports? i have also played and respect both

  • American Football kills more athletes than any other sports in the world; even more than Boxing, Rugby? I like it too, and It's also brutal, but Football is a little more dangerous; it can not be played without pads, way too dangerous...I've played both sports and love them both. I don't have a preference; all though Football gave me free education, I still like Rugby, just as much. I'm going to New Zealand for the 2011 World tour games......

  • try aussie rules.

  • Yale? what the

  • BYU dude!

  • he it him with his butt

  • the only other time I seen dat is when

the samoan super fly jimmy snuka did it in wrestling

bit of luck involved but all raw agression in dat brada - bros polynesians make da best defense because day are haaarddd!

  • dude speak fucking english enough with the dat...da...day shit.... its THAT...THE...THEY

    dumb shit

  • way 2 show dat IQ

  • tht guy must have been raging to do tht lol

  • sick tackle very dangerous he did get lucky

  • wow that is something you should never do in football cause most of time you would get owned. But that was fucking amazing

  • dang 0:07

  • LOLOLOL the linebacker was like a flying truck he just jumped over everyone and hit the guy

  • TOPEUROGOALS(.)COM top football skill goals

  • fucking luck yeah... Its not a tackle its fucking a dive in middle of a brawl

  • woo, whata fly kick with the ass in 0.36 XD hehe nicee..

  • how was that a rugby tackle in rugby it's a penalty if you don't wrap up. it kinda looked like an accident anyway lol

  • this is a badly titled video. American football and rugby are two very different sports.

  • good hit but not the greatest...

  • damm tht dude like had som hangtime on tht jump =O

  • thas not rugby

    rugby owns american football

    i prefer real football tho

  • why the hell do people insist on comparing rugby to american football? it's a completely different game! just because there is tackling in it does not mean it's anywhere close in similarity...it's equivalent to me comparing basketball to baseball just because they both use a round ball

  • probably tht guy was comparing football n rugby on the basis that they both use an oblong ball?

  • Oblong - lmao that so old skool lol

  • more like baseball to cricket- but nice try

  • @mynameisjeffd Yeah, except American football was inspired by European rugby and is actually similar. Your basketball/baseball analogy is shit.

  • BYU!

  • the endless war between american football and rugby....every video has the same comments

  • ya haha

  • no he didn't dumb ass

  • yeah i arre rugbie is a lot more tough but i perfer football i like rubie alot to

  • james harrison steelers winning int ret. 4 td-he collapses in the endzone rugby is having to do that get up push a pile of guys make 4 or 5 consecutive tackles sprint down field lift grown men over your head etc for 40 min/half-no breaks no off. def. special teams roster. ifootball highlight hits are mostly on receivers who got screwed over by qbs w/ dbs who plot a running start. rugby some ickers got cheap shots but hard hits are everywhere and nonstop-i played n love both but rugby takes more

  • Lol nice hit. Football > Rugby =p

  • haha smotherd!!!! flew out of no where and just bam! go cougars

  • the flying Samoan

  • That's what I call the most fobbiest I've seen in my life!! of all time LMAO!!

  • Lol, all the guys that say Gridion is better are from america...

It doesnt matter though, Both sports are great sports, yeah, gridion is overrated, but who cares, let the americans play what they wana play.

As for the rest of the world, lets start focusing on the super 14 and sevens.

Let these Americans watch thier game.

And we'll watch ours, the greatest sport, no doubt.

  • thats the funniest shit i seen in a long long time

  • The best athletes in the US play Football & Basketball. The best athletes around the world play Soccer & Rugby. I played rugby for 7 years & bottom line they R very different. In Football, athletes R more of an abomination, trained & built for a very specific purpose & short bursts (ie. Linebacker, Offensive Line, etc). In a FB tackle, you can leave your feet & you don't have to wrap. Pads are weapons. Rugby players play offensive & Def & have to be more rounded athletes & have better stamina.

  • damn straight we are.

    RUGBY FTW!!

  • ...RUGBY...N FOOTBALL.....

2 different sports...i know..ive played them both...but..note..4 all u dummys that think rugby players are tougher....shut up...u have no idea....american football players...are twice as big ..twice as strong...faster.....n crazier.........pads or not...i would rather play rugby ...cause the hits are harder n hurt more in american football......especially when u dont see them coming.....amercian football..is a more man on man...in the trenches type of sport...

  • pls guys this ain't even a good hit, watch more league and union, you'll see how real hits are dished out....! man if you've played rugby comp in auckland you'll know all about it... its all about timing... just keep your pads on AMERIGANS...lol

  • haha rugby dont even match up to football bro.. you ever seen a rugby played compared to a football player.? football players are ripped and can run twice the speed of a rugby player..! with pads on..! i played both and tackling in football is way more dangerous because you dont have to wrap..

  • football players ripped?! the quarterback for steelers is flabby out and he manages to earn a ridiculous amount of money. Blockers are obese not all muscle. Rugby players are way more ripped then football players. Thats why we dont need pads. And a break every 5 seconds!

  • you know some of those flabby guys can run 100 meters just as fast as rugby players.. theres only one big rugby player and even he doesnt match up to football players.. collins from the all blacks.. put him up against a jr seau or a troy polaumalu or lofa tatupu.. dont even match up.. he'll get killed..!

  • @ceileachair linemen are obese and not muscle? if you go to any power lifting tournament in the world 90% of the time the winner is a big guy who is strong and fat. Those are your linemen

  • @randytran4444 they may be strong but.... there still fat.

  • @gearsuvwarhave you ever seen a nfl linemen up close and not on TV? You try weighing 300+ lbs. and still run a 4.9 sec 40 time. You probably never played football before please don't listen to stereotypes, they are only in the movies for a reason.

  • lets see you get hit in the knee with a hard football helmet and get up.. american football is way better than rugby..

  • Let's see you run for 80minute's with no breaks, 100metres.

Let's see you take a tackle from Brian lima or jonah lomu.

Let's see you take off the pads and have nothing on but your blood, sweat, tears and balls.

    HEART!!!

Lets see you make drop goals.

    ...Exactly

  • ok im sorry im not trying to argue. both sports are great. football is all about strategy, kinda like playing chess.. dont get me wrong i love rugby.. just like football better..

  • Well, your just like me, i like gridion too...

    But I Like RUGBY Better.

  • haha, chess and football in the comment, same sentence no less. Bloody brutes, though I doubt for the most part the same goes for ruggers.

  • hey i dont mean to ruin your speech its a great one but dont you were clothing becauseing it sayes you are werein noting on but your blood so i was wondering if you were shirts but overall its a good speech.. ps i know notin about rugbie

  • Lol, nvm.

  • i do that for fun...pussy

  • this is why gridiron is ridiculous. they superman dive at each other head first and call themselves awesome

  • Time for the person who put this up to do the decent thing and remove the word rugby from the title.

  • This tackle is luck and shitty.

For everyone saying rugby is a better sport, i agree. I played football for 7 years. Wne tmy first rugby practice and it is the funnest but hardest shit out there. No football player on here talking shit has any balls to even want to step foot into a scrum and engage it up.

    Suck Ma Weiner Football players

  • Have ta find yer dick first Shamoo!

  • You two are fucking stupid... Stop complaining on which sport is better..

and stop fighting on fucking youtube comments.. fucking kids..

  • That was a great hit but I doubt you will ever see anything like that in rugby lol

  • What a load of gay bollocks

  • actually rugby is descendent of futbol and football is descendent of rugby. the similarities are beyond evident if u know the rules of all 3 games.

  • thats my new favorite tackle, man haha

  • why do people get in such big fights over rugby and football.....two different sports unrelated to eachother. Doesn't really matter in my opinion. Both are fun, one is just more prone to injury than the other, is it cooler because you get your knees and face fucked up? you decide.

  • that was a stupid hit!!!!!!! it was hard but stupid why did he jump?? put your helmet down and dont stop runing if he had done that it would be better

  • that wasnt much of a hit, and anyway football is like

"congratualations uve made the hit, now lets hav a 3 min break" whilst rugby "congratulations uve made the hit, now get back to ur fukin position before they break through"

  • lol at americans

  • I don't care what anyone says... THAT WAS TIGHT!

  • what a fuckin weird and pathetic attempt of a tackle

how can that clown claim that lol.

  • Your a fucking idiot

  • hahaha why coz i told the truth about this joker who jumped over someone and claimed it.

cunts in nfl dont even square up and have a run at each other...not on youtube buddy, but if u knew anything bout league, ud know that no fukin duel in this pussy shit u call a sport could match anything from state of origin or the paul harrogan-mark carroll rivalry.

glad this shit is restricted to the usa, where u can fall on someone and run round like a fukwit claiming how good it is. have a fukin go.

  • I do know something about rugby because I play A grade and I have played representative football for the junior Cronulla Sharks.

Not all sports are about rivalrys and running at each other, some are about playing the game and winning it, and having fun.

You are pothetic comming into an NFL video and whinning on about how NRL is so much better. Go watch an NRL video if you don't like it you idiot.

  • oohhh watch out big a grader and play for the worst fukin junior club there is, didnt even make the finals of the 20s. dont worry buddy ive played at the same level, and played for ccc and for nsw union if we wanna get into our rep honours debate. so ur not quite as outstanding as you think you are.

but hey by all means i will go watch more nrl videos, if they dont put rugby in their title. i will leave you to wank off over this pathetic fukin game. happy rubbing big guy

  • Wow look at you go again, arguing over who or what is better, or I did was give a brief explanation of how I know about rugby, and you go on about you playing for "ccc" and all this other bullshit nobodys heard of before.

Get a life instead of comming into videos and leaving negative comments. I'm done arguing with you you pothetic piece of shit.

  • hahaha youve never heard of ccc and u claim to know about league? real fuckin imposter u are. what about chs? maybe that rings a bell? no? yeah u wouldnt know u dumb fuck. hahah good one youtube freedom fighter!!! lets ban everyone from leaving their negative point of view because it hurts me too much when someone does!! heres a tissue u soft cock. and yes ur done arguing, because u dont wanna get too negative do u now. ur a fuckin soft cock, and a fuckin oxygen theif u fuckin scummy shit.

  • OMG! You are so STUPID! Look at what your arguing about you moron, something completely different, did you wear headgear when you played, because you are seriously just STUPID.

Stop talking to me you idiot, unless you can think of something constructive.

  • "hellguit"....your linebacker will get fucked up if he play rugby and thats the shit..seriously.rugby is freakin tough...especially if you play in college and professional rugby...guys....hit hard with no bads...like football.

  • actually, just because one person is dumber to put their body on the line, doesn't make him more tough than another individual. and besides, more and more rugby players are beginning to wear pads under their uniforms, and they wear helmets too.

  • rugby players do not wear helmets. they wear head gears. big diifference between a helmet and a head gear mann.

  • people people american football and rugby are 2 different sports rugby is more tactical people say rugby players are tougher? maybe maybe not, in american football yes you go head on yes it may be a tougher sport but it is less tactical

  • wtf?!? it's like the most tactical sport ever!!!!! I admit i've never played rugby, but i asked a linebacker in my football team (who plays both sports) and one of my football coach (who plays rugby as well) and they clearly told me football was more tactical than rugby... but as I said, i've never played rugby so i can't tell you by experience, but they know very well both football and rugby.

  • maybe not the most tatical sport but i think it is more tactical than football offense pretty basic but defense idk but ya....

  • rugby is really really tactical.....ask a flyhalf wot he has to think about when he's playing the game and you'll see....

  • haha, im lucky enough to be a flanker so i dont have to think much. rugby really is tactical though especially flyhalf and scrumhalf.

  • above the armpit, but in football you do. Makes you ask the question, why doesn't rugby allow hitting above the armpit? Because it's too dangerous, but American football allows it. Says something about who's tougher in my opinion. I'd say that rugby requires more technicality, but not more toughness. In football you fly in from 20-30 yards plus full speed hitting above the armpit. Ouch. Besides, if America camped on rugby the way NZ does, we'd be ruling the world in the sport. Peace!

  • actually, you cant hit someone in the head in american football. ts a 15 yard penalty, actually you cant even touch the guys face, that 15 more yards. in rugby you are allowed to hit above the armpit, all depending on how they go into the tackle. i dont think youve ever even play rugby before so you cant say anything about it. and you can come in from 20-30 meters in rugby. just to let you know

  • There was nothing mentioned about contact with ones face, or head in football. Hitting above the armpit is what was mentioned. I failed to finish my point of coming in from 20-30 yards when hitting in football, that it can happen to anyone on the field whether running the ball or not. Not in rugby. One "can" come in from that far in rugby, but it's not usually the case, keyword "can". Any contact with the face, doesn't result in 15...

  • yards, have you watched this particular clip?Rules involving tackling in rugby may differ in countries, under the armpit only, South African rules, world champs baby! And yes, have played rugby.Just letting you know.

  • Actually, you CAN hit someone in the head in American football. You can get a penalty for leading with your head to spear their head. However, even that is rarely called unless it is a QB being hit.

youtube "WR Ward" with your choice of "hits" "nails" "lays out", etc... You will see a typical big hits to the head that are legal. There are many more examples.

  • American football. Now that New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England have reached the pinnacle of the sport, they envy the chance to play America at their full strength. But since they can't, they just decide to hate on football, when most of'em have never played the game anyway, they just hear from their progenitors of how much it's not a manly sport, and those progenitors wanting the chance to play the US. Besides, the hitting in rugby and football are different. In rugby you don't...

  • Someone asked the question of "Why do rugby players disrespect American football players so much?" Well, one, that the sport is American is for one reason. When you're American, the whole world has a target on you. Trying to defend their own country by putting down anything American. If you look at Olympic history, the last time rugby was an Olympic sport who won? Well, well, well, it was USA. So America ruled the rugby world, and in it's boredom at the top, decided to form a new sport...

  • USA lost heavily to 3 club sides in Eng before the olympics. 1924 olympics was not much of a highlight in the rugby world

Contact is different.football is much more about impact and explosion. the tackler knows the carrier will not pass it. make the tackle and the game stops.

In rugby the contact has to be tempered by the continous play ,endurance is required . In rugby you aim to draw the tackle to create space, over commit and you expose the position,so a little bit more to think about

  • 1924 not being a highlight in world rugby, just because the U.S. won? If it were won by England would it be considered a highlight in rugby history?

  • he just pretty much pushed him down w/ momentum and body mass.

how is that a tackle. that's... crap. it's a hit. a great awesome looking (??) hit but not a good looking tackle. it's not even a tackle.

  • Mormons are such woosies. I have seen many a harder hit in football than that.

  • thats fo sho

  • damn that stormin' mormon had wings

  • THAT MATHAFUCKER FLEW

  • I play both and love them equally. Why can't you idiots do the same

  • This is no fucking rugby! WTF?

  • Why put the word RUGBY in the title even?? wtf this has nothing to do with rugby.
