there is plenty of IDE's and languages since 1999 on the market. what is new with Adobe Air? It's just another useless tool for creating more useless "applications". We would be better of with 10 programs that are actually working(!) without weekly hotfixes and updates. The entire IT sector became a playground for inflated and ever increasing complexity. I predict that in 10 years no programmer will understand what he is actually doing and why he is doing it.

@amfikz Same as Apple, all of those corporations are reinventing everything all of the time. None of their products have one single original thought - like the Tablet-PCs (newspeech "Pad"), which was already on the market 10 years ago or NCs (newspeech NetTop) which I've implemented at some companies in 1997. It has been here before but with less glamour-and-glory-marketing. The youngsters of today are buying what we veterans have dumped 15 years ago :) Revolving crap.
