@11newells well if you play kingdom hearts 1 and 358/2days you will understand it . Snice Kingdom hearts chain of memories was the first kingdom hearts game i've played i was confused as hell it wasn't 3 years later got part 1. Also namine made everything more confusing because i was starting to think namine fake memories were real.

I've watched KH1 twice and KH2, and am going through this for the first time. From reading the comments, there's one thing I don't get: How did Sora and co fall into that deep sleep, and how was Roxas created?

Roxas was created when Sora first became a heartless, because when a strong hearted person becomes a heartless, a nobody is created too.

You've already gotten you're answer for the Roxas question and the answer for the sleep is because at the end Namine had to put them to sleep since it would take a long time to put their memories back, and if you have played Kh2 then you know that it takes a whole year, I read the 2 books for this so I already know what the reason is, and Ive also seen then ending for the GBA version

Super60429 said. When I think about it, first Sora focuses on keys and hearts. Then he focuses on cards and memories, and then in KH II, he focuses once again on hearts and keys, but he also focuses on beings who don't even actually exist. It makes my head hurt. =P

Still, does Sora and the others also lose part of their memory? I'm still lost between the story gaps of KH I and KH II,

even if I do watch this game on Youtube for a history lesson. =P

because castle oblivion makes sora forget his memories,so in this game he forgets to focus on keys and hearts. and when namine put his memories back, he remembers to focus onhearts and keys.

its easy, you can get em by luck by using treasure room cards, you could get them in destructables but id say that your best bet is indeed moogle rooms, just get the blue packs (the magic card packs)your bound to get some along the way
