  • Matt is an excellent actor, and this scene shows just why.

  • The hilarious part is trying to imagine Matt Smith speaking baby talk to Stormageddon. Just the idea of it cracks me up.

  • all i can think: awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

  • Infact he works so well with everyone, I would loved to see him work with K9 sometime

  • Matt Smith just works well with everyone, even babies :)

  • STORMAGGEDON DARK LORD OF ALl

  • "What if you were really old, and really kind, and alone? Your whole race dead and no future. What could you do then? If you were that old, and that kind...and the very last of your kind, you couldn't just stand there and watch children cry."

  • Aww!!

  • I wish The Doctor visited my kids...

  • @amirizar2012 or 11 is.

  • I love the fact that the Doctor calls him Stormageddon the whole episode. No one ever plays along with little kids like that.

  • @karljohnson92 Yeah, it's kind of annoying how they don't too. I mean they're children, no need to crush their creativity and innocence just because yours is dust.

  • omg, he is soooooo cute with a baby. they need to have more of that on the show (not in a pervertid way). babies are cool. i think the Doctor would make a great dad. wish he was my dad. :(

  • Does anyone want that constellation projector the doctor makes Alfie?

  • @chocolatecake742 I DO!!!!!!! its sooooo cool, i want one so much.

  • @13doctorwho I've been looking all over eBay for something like a constellation, shooting star projector XD

But I've got some awesome Doctor Who stuff, I got the Master's ring and the Journal of Impossible Things for my birthday!! XD

  • Great. The first thing the Doctor mentions to a baby while talking about a life ahead is mortgage repayments : (

  • @DOWSOE Oh it's so horrible when people are honest. Why can't he just mention everything is fine and dandy like other parents? Who needs the truth when we have lies?

  • @DeathnoteBB he doesn't have to lie, he can talk about the positives of life.

  • @DOWSOE To a baby? The baby probably doesn't know what any of those are anyway, so they don't know how negative the things are. It's pretty neutral for him.

  • I really hope his next companion is a kid, this, young Amy and both of his Christmas episodes just agree so well with me, I don't like Matt's doctor unless a kid is on screen. To adult companions he's eccentric, to kids he's magic

  • I know what I'm naming my future child...

  • @zxcviilll your naming your child doctor?

  • Matt is so adorable with a baby :)

  • Could someone please tell me the name of the soundtrack on this scene? It's so beautiful.

  • @Kasumi1chan2 I don't think it's been officially released just yet, but it should be in the Series 6 soundtrack.

  • @SogekingSchofield503 I hope so, because it's beautiful ^^...Thanks for answering me!

  • @Kasumi1chan2 @SogekingSchofield503 it has actually been realased as of the 19th of december. the track is called " my time is running out"

  • So if Baby is in fact a language it should have been translated into English by the TARDIS am I right?

  • The coolest, and weirdest, thing about this episode was hearing my name (Stormie) so many times. That...never happens.

  • Do they have a lava lamp thingy that makes a room look like that at 1:44

  • I WANNA HAVE YOUR BABIES

  • This scene....when i first saw it I was close to tears because it was so beautiful, and now that I see it again, I am the same way. Truly a touching scene.

  • I wonder if the Doctor and River are going to have kids.

  • @TheZutara101 they better! the doctor's son, capable of regenerating, can be a permanent companion to the doctor.

  • @kaizoisevil Or maybe he or she could be a character that can carry on the show if the Doctor dies officially. (Witch would be very awful in a way)

  • @TheZutara101 at first, I also thought that the Doctor and River would have a child, and the child would take on the Doctor's title and be the next Doctor. But now I realize that cannot happen. Even if there is an offspring to continue the timelord dynasty, killing off the doctor would upset many fans, no matter how similiar the offspring would be to the doctor.

  • @kaizoisevil The doctor (10 and 9 and others) have said that he 'The Doctor' has had many children. There is even an episode with David Tennant and his 'daughter'

  • @kaizoisevil Yea. It wouldn't be the same. I'd probably stop watching if they killed off the Doctor.

  • @TheZutara101 Well if they killed him off for good then it wouldn't be Doctor Who anymore would it?

  • so freakin cute!

  • what episode is this?

  • @djwasser

closing time. penultimate episode season 6 part 2

  • @BluePeopleISee thank you

  • He couldn't get any cuter with a baby!

  • This just...makes me so....warm and fuzzy...Matt is gorgeous...and just seems to good with kids in this episode.

  • I love the 11th doctor. He deals with so many goodbyes and so many heartbreaks and so many moments that make me cry into my pillow. He could regenerate into the 10000th doctor, i dont care. The Eleventh Doctor will always be my doctor.

  • im sencing a new companion lol watch out amy, stormys about! XD x x

  • @animelover5076

that would actually be so great! :D

  • I speak 'Baby', too -- I'm a customer service rep!

  • Even if he has to die five hundred and seven times, the travelling man will save the day...and have a little heart-to-heart with babies.

  • @amirizar2012 At least, I'd like to meet the guy, to shake his hand, and say "Goodbye!" and thank him for all he's done. :)

  • Sometimes I wonder if this scene was put in largely to make girls go "Awww..."

  • @sternbergzookie If it was, then it worked!

  • 1:00 to 1:02 piano chords are so haunting! Fantastic scene.

  • All hail Stormageddon Dark Lord of all, and Also Not Mum.

  • I think in each episode this season each character gets to shine... The girl who waited you really saw Amy take the limelight. In a God Man Goes To War you see the lengths Rory would go to show his wife he loves her (Not to mention waiting 2000 years!) But this episode I thought was really emotional for the doctor. The adventure before the doctor dies, there were a lot of scenes when you saw the true sadness of our mad man in a box. Eleven...You'll always be my doctor.

  • I think one of the cutest parts of this scene is 0:41 to 0:46.

  • This speech by the Doctor is so melancholy that its heart breaking.

  • This speech by the Doctor is so melancholy.

  • Aw... that was beautiful.

  • This scene made me like 11 that bit more.

  • And this is why Matt does so well as the Doctor. He is so good at embodying the near-youthful playfulness as the Doctor, but in those moments where he shows just how old he truly id, Smith pulls it off to near perfection.

  • This is what I will name my child.

  • STORMIE!

  • I like the part about "... a persistant, nagging sense of spiritual emptiness." The Doctor knows humanity too well.

  • @Mxlsptlk And, perhaps, himself.

  • I'm going to name my son Stormageddon.

  • FATHER OUR CHILDREN.

  • @awesomeusergirl 9 years isn't too much of an age difference.... (shiftly eyes)

  • Stormaggeddon has the most kissable chipmunk cheeks ever.

  • @hothotheat3000 That Stormy, at least. There was a positive army of babies playing him. Well, seven, actually. But then, that is still a lot of babies, relatively speaking.

  • adding on to my previous comment: I also love how the Doctor initially comes in a bit bewildered and afraid, unsure of what to do to comfort the baby. But then he picks up the bunny i can almost see a shift, like he's thinking 'oh, i know how to do this!' from his long ago experiences with his own children. like a parent never really forgets how to comfort a child.

  • @wintermoons1215 oh yeah, he had a child and brother and parents way back when it first started, and then they all died. i just remembered that!

  • LOVE this scene!!! Give the Doctor babies to interact with more often!

  • Love to have the mobile that plays on Alfie's ceiling after the Doctor sonics it.

  • such a beautiful scene...i love seeing The Doctor interact with children.

  • thanks for uploading it. i was looking for it its so cute :)

  • loved this scene have gone back and watched it so many times now well done for posting it xx
