Hi everyone

I have a few questions for fingerpickers out there, I hope someone can help me! I've been watching this video carefully and working on the song, and though i've been playing fingerpicking guitar for many years, Andy uses some weird techniques that i've never seen before and that seem to be (at least for me) quite difficult to grasp. Does anybody know what he is exactly doing when he flicks his index finger? he does it quite a lot, is he strumming on the high strings? Thx

@mh1402 Well, obviously because he makes perfect harmonics. Practice them and yours may also sound nice. Then maybe the microphone has a little part in them, but i doubt the quality guitar makes any difference. My fender for 3k has the same sound.

@mh1402 yea man if you ever go to a guitar shop acoustic section (mainly) the more you pay, the better the harmonics will be. testing the harmonics is actually a great way to see if it was correctly made.

Interestingly enough I changed the tuning on the Guitar Pro File of this song to Baritone tuning and the program couldn't put out the right sound for some reason. The harmonics sounded weird. So, perhaps the reason the file is in DGCFAD is because it sounds good for learning purposes.

The tuning is definitely B E A D F# B

Which is standard baritone tuning.

But obviously that wouldn't do very well on a standard acoustic with light strings. So, really any variation of standard tuning will do.
