Gordon Freeman? No way, I never got why everyone was all "Look, it's Freeman!" when you showed up in Half Life 2. His suit has nothing on the Nano-suit, and the Halo one can regenerate health.

The one thing I hate about Halo 2 is that ever since that game, the game makers refuse to use HEALTH METERS. It's a shield meter and once that's used up, one more hit KILLS YOU. Does that make any fucking sense? NO. The suit is still a suit of armor. Technically, Nanosuit/2 shouldn't even be penetrable by bullets.

Master Chief is not trained? The biggest nonsence I've heard all week... He was training since 3, was ciberneticly and biologicly enchanced at 14... blah blah blah... bottom line - he has more training then nomad and he has even more stregth with his exoskeleton suit (plus giant natural/cibernized strenth) and jis shields are not too bad either... Anyway, read up spartan on wiki for more information... Have fun fighting between games.

The 8800GT is a better card. Better performing and is said to have better rendering for graphics, but the 8800GTS is not a bad card at all, but just not worth the money anymore. There are 3 versions of the 8800GTS that will be released, in mid november a revised 8800GTS will be released with 112 stream processors (same as the 8800GT) vs 96 stream processors on the "old" 8800GTS, but it will still have the old G80 core vs the new G92 core found on the 8800GT.

Then, in the early december time frame, a third model of the 8800GTS will be unvealed, with 128 stream processors (same as 8800GTX/Ultra) and the new G92 core with 512MB or 1GB of GDDR3 RAM, and higher clock frequencies all around. This will most likely be the final revision of the 8800GTS, but it will easily outperform the 8800GT, GTX, and possibly the Ultra as well.

It should come out at a very decent price as well. Keep informed to make sure you get the good prices when the card comes out, or else by the time you get to it, the prices will have gone up, due to high demand as seen with the 8800GT (I originally bought one for $239 on October 29th, prices now are easily closer to $300).

8800GT is almost as good as the 2x more expensive GTX. In some games even better.

it's really cheaper because of the core (G92), it's a smaller die which is cheaper to produce, or so I read. Not having a water block also helps reduce the price =) All in all, the 8800GT outperforms the GTS and is cheaper.

Its cheaper because Nvidia want to have a 2900pro killer, 2900pro was a really good card for msot gamers who play at 1680x1050, so nvidia bring out a card cheaper by a tad that beats it by miles. ATI are really behind, if its up to me ati should increase dx9 development which is top atm due to Vista being crap.

I know that is what happens in the beta, but the AA on the demo is fixed, atleast as far as I have seen. Still, if it turns off, simply set your AA to what you want, apply it, then don't restart the game or go back into the settings for AA or it will turn off. After applying you must go directly into a game for it to take effect, that's the work aroudn in the beta.
