Ok, this sparks another memory. I built the iron art there after Oliver Hurtley passed the contract on to me, his protege. The first 2 years, Oliver designed the work and I would execute it. One day I was up on the roof of his mansion installing the metal sculpted "flames" in the double chimney of the fireplace. I looked down and there was Neil and Oliver chatting. I had my camera and I would often sneek pics of Neil. I remember thinking, "Wow, Neil's getting kinda thin on top..." Now I am. :-)
Undoubtedly Neil Young is one of the most talented songwriters of the 20th century in rock. His songs are sometimes depressing ,but they tell a story, and are always personal. From "Buffalo Springfield", till present, Neil has presented us a cavalcade of songs that tug at our heart strings.
Classic artist,Got to see him in Wellington New Zealand in 1985,Did a set with international harvesters,Then came on with Crazy Horse, Best concert ive been too Awesome*****.
@rrrock6 I listen to Neil since 1971.. some songs are great, some songs are modest.. his latest album (Noise?) is terrible!! With a song like "Good to see You"he is using (again!) the same old tricks that he uses since...1971.. It's really boring!! ( i love 4-waystreet...by the way)
