@simc1234 From 4:49, the 'metaphysical glutton' term is attributed to to a Ken Wilbur. From 8:25, 'positive negativity' is attributed to a Vernon Howell.
@PhilosophersNotes Nice, thanks. They have recommended me Meditations but i haven't finished Letters from a Stoic yet. I am trying to focus cause you now... "to be everywhere is to be nowhere" ;) At the moment I am reading Walden (Thoreau) too :)

love the concept 'I don't do things because they are hard, things are hard because I don't do them' awesome simplicity, & I have experienced this too! But can see it better with hearing your post, many thanks. x
@PhilosophersNotes interestingly I'm experiencing this right now, have to finish an assignment but finding it difficult to do it - even though I know I can do it! so I'm choosing not to do it which is making it feel even harder. DOH! smiling now as recognising this again it is helping to stop the vicious circle, now taking & long, slow deep cleansing breath in I know I can do it & I will complete it over the next two days! YES WAY TO GO! x
@grooveycat hehehe. it's all about the baby steps!! :) have you watched/read the TV/note on "the now habit"? I think you'd love it! I'd link here but youtube no likey that! :)
@PhilosophersNotes Yes I have checked that out but will do so again. Love to re-visit your PNTV, thanks for the reminder on that one Brian. Bring on the baby steps! Hey & yippee I did finish my assignment & handed it in today - way to go! x

Sorry, I find it difficult to believe Seneca used phrases like "metaphysical glutton" and "positive negativity". It seems you made that up.
If you can cite in which letters he does I shall stand corrected.

@simc1234 Pretty sure I was referencing a couple other teachers with those lines. :)

@simc1234 From 4:49, he clearly attributes the first quote to a Ken Wilbur.

i like how you connect all the ideas under one theme and find parallels and reoccurring themes in all of the authors
