The art, coloring is just fantastic. Such attention to even the smallest detail. So many artist just whip them out leaving out also that wow effect. Jack Kirby (in my time) did this with his drawing of muscles, and metal.
@patiswatching Marvel's excuse is that he was shot with a special gun filled with bullets that pierced his skin, leaving bullet holes, but instead of killing Cap, it sent him to an alternate dimension where he had to relive all of his old exploits. My brain hurts.
@PlagueIndustry Zola's gun unstuck Cap's consiousness in time, creating a paradox where he was both dead and alive at the same time. Red Skull, with Doctor Doom's time tech, planned on snatching Cap's body from the timestream and inserting his own mind into Cap's body (which is creepy on a whole other level) because he needed a new one. Brubaker actually mapped this all out long before Civil War, which he was forced to write around.
yeah i though the same thing, it looks as if brubaker and company didn't coordinate the dates well, reborn #5 hasn't come out, yet steve rogers appears on new avengers
Why is Bendis for making a story that made AVengers the center of MArvel again (as opposed to X-Men and Spider-man). I liked Disassembled and the various avengers books that came afterward.
Ok, first Hawkeye has been alive for yonks since House of M. I'll respect your Scott Lang comment, though his death gave Cassie a chance to step into the limelight, which is great as she's probably my fav Young Avenger.
And your comments on She-Hulk are a perfect example of what Brian was saying at the time this came out. He'd hear someone say 'I hate She Hulk, kill her', then another say 'Don't touch She-Hulk'.
The bottom line is you can't please everyone. I hated One More Day and what it did to Spidey, still do, probably always will. But the point is we have to accept that the writer in theory has our best interests at heart, and probably shouldn't always listen to what the comic book reader demands to see.
Same, One More Day hath robbed me of interest in reading much about Spider-Man these days, not when he's little more than a web-swinging Ghost Rider. I still read Avengers stuff though, that and some X-Men.
me too, I'm pretty loyal to the X books. I'm still reading Avenger books myself, but plan on dropping them in the new year. while the writing at Marvel has never been better some of the editorial and substantvie changes in certain books have got me rethinking if I should eve continue to support Marvel. I cannot continue to spend on books where I dislike the direction the books go
Pretty much the same; it's fair to say that Disassembled effectively began the modern age of Marvel Comics and that all of the various events like Civil War, House of M, Secret Invasion and Dark Reign have branched out of it.
yeah :} thats way true i think they should too i would love to see a new villain out there . but you never know they could mess things up that way hahaahaah they should try it .

to this day I won't pay for a spider-man comic because of One More Day. I used to spend $200-$300 a month on Marvel comics alone. not anymore.
