It's not Bill's opinions or views that riles people up. It's the way he treats people, especially guests, younger guests, who he feels threatened by. too much bullying and cajoling on his part. a lot of voice raising and attempts at intimidating ala kindergarten style. i've seen many comments where people say they felt physically sick when they watch him. it's bill, not the political stances.
