  • @eviamira Mine too (:

  • @eviamira Haha, ik zie juist dat je van Nederland bent. Ik van België :D

  • 2:05. LOVE.... IT

  • Wow, chills. The way that the music is so discordant and haunting in some places. Love it :)

  • yeah my name is Eveline.

And what a lovely song <3

  • I miss them so much.

  • it's amazing what they can do. their music is amazing.

  • Hey! If anyone has a request for a Nickel Creek song for me to do next on my channel, I can. Just message me!

  • @TheCheshireofQuidget Why Should the Fire Die? I've been looking all over youtube for a studio recording of it to no avail! You'd be my hero if you did :D

  • @scottskipsnewman Man, just buy the album, it's worth it! :)

  • this is a very strange arrangement of chords but i like the way it all fits together

  • ya, too bad they're no more..

  • I am so addicted to this song, and normally I'm a metalhead.

  • yeah

  • @XOmniverse same here! im into progressive metal or heavy jazz fusion, but the chord progressions and harmony of this song blew me away!

  • @ryanbstory I lean towards the progressive stuff myself. Honestly, most of this song would fit inside a 10 minute Opeth epic without sounding out of place at all :)

  • @XOmniverse Me too!

  • @XOmniverse this song more metal than fuckin metallica. i can imagine that it could be played easily by opeth or may be cynic

  • does anyone know the chords to this song? can't find it on the internet

  • If anyone was wondering, this song is actually about the short story "Eveline" by James Joyce written in...1904 I think. It's really great; it makes this song mean even more and it definitely will make more sense. :)

  • Thanks! I didn't know that about this song and do I love finding out about any movie, show, or song that is based on literary foundations...Thanks alot! I'll have to check that out now. :)

  • Love this song, named my new to me acoustic guitar after it.

  • It's all about me!!!

  • Beautiful!!

    thank you.

  • I love this song so much, this is how music should be played

  • Agreed. :)

  • Uh, they didn't break up for lack of following. They said they were gonna do their own thing for a while and get some life material.

  • this song is insane. respectable but, i just listened to the doubting thomas song posted here on youtube. nickel creek, old style, had it going. they got obscure and didnt last much longer. they didnt keep it real IMO.

  • Doubting Thomas and Eveline were from the same album .....hence, same time period

  • I've gotten one request to do "When you Come Back Down" but I'm uncertain about what other song I could do. Just say which and I'll be more than happy to do another video.

  • Only FANTASTIC

  • I love everything about this song. Nickel Creek was one of the truly captivating, original songwriting groups of our generation. I miss them. :(

  • they've gotta get back together eventually, you know?

  • Yes. I believe they will. It's been about two years since last I saw them together. Maybe they're already working on their next album! :D

  • They broke up in 2006 when they had their goodbye tour. :(

  • awesome dissonance. cool backstory too! because i am that nerd, i suggest looking up Eviline on wikipedia.

  • I saw them live too in Warwickshire UK... A very talented band.. Captivating performance, such a warming group of people..felt like we were sitting in their lounge watching them play and they were conversing with us..... Hell I wish they would re-form again....... !! Missing them already.......

  • 1 word WONDERFUL

  • It really is a shame they've split. But they've given us many a wondeful music.

  • I haven't listened to much of their stuff since This Side - is this a newer song?

  • This ones comes off their more recent album "Why should the Fire die?" I've always loved it. This is kind of my tribute to the group. I saw them last year in concert live! They are phenomenal even more so in theater than in a recording studio and wouldn't hesitate to see them again in a heartbeat!

  • WONDERFUL! First to comment! First to get appreciated for saying what you like about my video...even if it's just in three words...lolol...

  • I luv it
