@TheCheshireofQuidget Why Should the Fire Die? I've been looking all over youtube for a studio recording of it to no avail! You'd be my hero if you did :D
@ryanbstory I lean towards the progressive stuff myself. Honestly, most of this song would fit inside a 10 minute Opeth epic without sounding out of place at all :)
If anyone was wondering, this song is actually about the short story "Eveline" by James Joyce written in...1904 I think. It's really great; it makes this song mean even more and it definitely will make more sense. :)
Thanks! I didn't know that about this song and do I love finding out about any movie, show, or song that is based on literary foundations...Thanks alot! I'll have to check that out now. :)
this song is insane. respectable but, i just listened to the doubting thomas song posted here on youtube. nickel creek, old style, had it going. they got obscure and didnt last much longer. they didnt keep it real IMO.
I've gotten one request to do "When you Come Back Down" but I'm uncertain about what other song I could do. Just say which and I'll be more than happy to do another video.
I saw them live too in Warwickshire UK... A very talented band.. Captivating performance, such a warming group of people..felt like we were sitting in their lounge watching them play and they were conversing with us..... Hell I wish they would re-form again....... !! Missing them already.......
This ones comes off their more recent album "Why should the Fire die?" I've always loved it. This is kind of my tribute to the group. I saw them last year in concert live! They are phenomenal even more so in theater than in a recording studio and wouldn't hesitate to see them again in a heartbeat!

Uh, they didn't break up for lack of following. They said they were gonna do their own thing for a while and get some life material.
