I love this poem because its so applicable to many situations in life, I like to think about this poem is about becoming an adult but you can take it anyway you like, its still a great piece of literature.

I love how this poem conveys a strong and inspiring "If" as opposed to the less helpful "If only". We all need a little boost sometimes and words like these are priceless.

I adhere, and always did, to the principles... (very reminiscent of Buddhist thought btw) as far as applying, well.... as we say in French: ya got days with it and days without! Forgive youself ... and hope for better days and better ways... Tall order sometimes.
