you have to open it up and connect the touchsreen foil to the place where your webcam is suposed to go. it wont work anymore but who needs that shity cam

i think the webcam works quite well and in low lite as well. better then having nothing or lugging around one. there plenty spots to plug in the touchscreen without effecting the webcam etc..

ok then u did it differently i saw a lot of tutorials wich all put in the webcam slot...

the first time i did it the way you see here but since then. the controller is mounted on the left side right under the speaker. and if you use the shortened controller version or cut your own it fits real nice. then i soldered it to one of the internel usb connections. this was just the very first time and version i did it etc.. but to be honest some people say the webcam sucks so they use that spot only to justify losing it. but i really enjoy the webcam there and having it when i need it.

it's a 7" touchscreen kit, i believe you can get them off ebay just type eeepc touch panel etc...

well originally i just soldered to the inside part of the USB its easier to do being the connections are larger. soldering the to motherboard itself like the pci is rather smaller and takes a steady hand if your good at soldering that isnt a problem. the space above the ram can acomodate roughly 1.5" by 3 inches" if you count the space hidden under then case and a thickness roughly 1/4 inch hope i helped..

Nice! this whole touchscreen mod makes me really really want to buy one of these...but I've never really done any soldering before, and it kind of intimidates me. should I go for it, or is there to much risk of killing the entire computer? Also, where did you buy your touchscreen panel from? Thanks!

i bought the kit off ebay, dont be affraid soldering isnt real bad the way i did it, because all i did was solder the wires to th controller and to the inside of the usb which are not that small. soldering to the pci or directly to the motherboard is harder and smaller i have big hands and not so steady so i decided not to do it that way. but it was the collest mod i have done. goodluck
