So this doesn't work. It used to work for me, about a year ago, but now it doesn't.

The only difference that happened between your and my install process is that cmd found 8 busses and didn't show anything after that, none of that numbered stuff with the random numbers in front of it. Is there something I'm missing?

Well it depends on what you're using it in. If it's an emulator, then most of them come with a controller mapper. The only problem is that it takes forever for some programs to figure out which button corresponds to what number.

Not sure why this needs a tutorial. This one's definitely the easiest driver to set up... and the best working too! The only flaw is that the triggers can't be used as analog triggers.

Man, All that happens in the command prompt is that it says "FOUND 6 BUSSES" and that's it. My Sixaxis is not shown in the game controllers and the flashing lights on the controller stop after a while since it wasnt recognized.. wtf

ok here guys make sure you open up the ps3 file with the black screen and go to game pad and it should work once more, And if the ps3 controller goes die on you just take out the plug and put it back in.

I've done everything I can possibly think of. I followed this video exactly, and looked up some other tutorials on what to do. Some people have said to move the driver files to windows/system32, and I did that. Nothing has worked for me. It detects the controller, but that's all. I have no idea what the problem is.

I'm running Windows XP 64, anyone know if it doesn't work with that? 64 bit always seems to have problems.

It's driving me nuts, I just can't figure why it won't work.

I got it working but bottons are all wrong, wont work on games like pro evolution 2008 and call of duty 4. I also tried using Xpadder to reconfigure the bottons but the program doesnt support those games or somethin. :/

I think you need to install that other thign that comes with it. The LibUSB thing, that's what I did, and now it doesn't crash when I try and use it. Hope it helps.

Already did that and it doesnt work. Doesnt matter though. I use my old ps1 controller with the old adaptor for my pc. Dont know if it works with pc games but it works with my Zsnes and Neo-geo emulators. But not my Gens and xgen emulators.

I can't get the 4 lights to stop flashing on the pad, its recognized in windows when I insert it, but running that exe, it just terminates as soon as it starts..

oh and after you replug it in or whatever, make sure you double click on that ps3sixaxis_en.exe file. I have a copy of the file so it's easier than constantly going to the system 32 folder. hope that helps

How can I configure it with the SNES9x emulator?, because I try and play a game on there, and the controls are set to the keyboard, and I've got no clue on how to have them correspond with the sixaxis controller.

Well when you're in that test menu to make sure the sticks move around, press buttons on the Sixaxis and find out what they correspond to number wise and write them down. Then you must go into Snes9x and configure the buttons manually by selecting game controller and entering all the right buttons

I just now noticed that the Snes9x configuration only handles single digit numbers like 2, 4, 6, 8, etc. is there anything I can do about that?

And what buttons on the controller would be good for the B, A, Y, and X buttons?

for the buttons what i did was like the classic SNES controller....

L1, R1 and the D-pad are like the SNES controller...but for buttons..

ok, forget every thing i said eariler. I got the files by extracting it with windRR. But when i try to run ps3sixaxis_en in command prompt, it saids it has incountered a problem and needs to be close and sets me back to my orginal prompt

when i download the driver i says for teh type of file as 'unknown file type' and when i click OPEN it downloads then comes up with a notepad doc and theres just a BUNCH of scrabble in it. I tried clikcing SAVE instead of open and saved it to my desktop but the same thing happens - it turns to a notepad doc. I noticed that the type of file it saids now is RAR File.
