Just listening to her voice alone.....if she sang this more theatrically, in its original format, she really could have the power that Betty Buckley has.
3:16 .....while it lacks the same emotion as the origin\al, it is a rather clever twist on the climax of the song. Music-wise, it works as a more "pop-ish" tune. Does it compete with Elaine Paige or Betty Buckley? Heavens no. But then again, why compare them?

I obviously can't say that this was bad because it's a great performance but she just changes it way too much. If it had been written this way then it was amazing but I just didn't like how much she did to it on her own. I know singers do that often but it changes the entire meaning of the song.

This was back in 1988. Celine has a voice that can sing anything and it will leave you will chills and tears streaming down your face. MAGICAL. Her performance of "Memory" was mesmorizing. Beautiful indeed.

Rock on Celine!!! While the video was of poor quality, I really enjoyed it I am also aware that this vid was done a number of yrs ago , and your rendition was diffrent , I wish you had expanded it to include of the Rock part more . She was only 16 years old when she sang that, could you imagine the incredible power in her voice at that age WOW ! You can't compare this version to Barbara or elaine page, because they were much more mature when they sang it. I'm not sure they would be better than Celine at that age.

De todas formas esta versión la noto como más Pop para TV que para escenario e igual que a tí me gusta menos que la del musical pero no es más que una versión diferente de las tantas miles que hay :)

Wow its certanly a unusual aproach to Memory but she is definately doing a remembable character! And all the itches and twistes she does is really something far different from how most Grizs handles the part. I love it cause is so unusual and still very good. And the costume! Johan.
