@gopedsrok Cordless trimmers aren't made for commercial use. They're primarily for homeowners who choose to do their own yard work and nobody else. If you are running a landscaping business, of course gas power is the way to go...duh>
Choosing an electric lawn tool shifts the pollution from small engines to power stations. These power stations are cleaner due to efficiencies of scale, and they also have strong emissions controls. Certain emissions (such as Sulfur Dioxide and particulate bound Mercury) are heavily regulated due to their environmental effects. On average, scrubbers at coal powered electrical plants capture 36% of these emissions with the potential for 98% emission control using existing technology.
they talk about clean air- I guess using electricity from a coal fired plant is a little cleaner than gas, but they want you to think there are 0 emissions- not the case.
I have a black and decker cordless one and it sucks. Doesnt last long enough on a full charge to do the whole yard and after 2 years, the battery was useless. The production of batteries is not exactly environmentally friendly you know. This is especially true if you keep havin got replace batteries.
i would be done in 30 seconds with my stihl. electrics suck
