Clearly the woman is scared and clearly the woman believes she is telling the truth...then again, so does Mel. The reality is, yes, there are folks out there (men AND women) who misappropriate facts as a means to take advantage of wealthy people, but whether she is lying or not is irrelevant. Mel clearly has very deep-seated issues for which he has sought zero help. Being one of the best actors of his generation clearly has its advantages; the ability to fool yourself. notwithstanding.
