To all you " environmentalists " out there . Tell me , what is the answer . Give me one because I need one . I work in the home health field of medicine and take care of adults that wear diapers . I reuse those "evil" bags to throw them away . So, am I supposed to pas the bill to people that can barely afford my services , pay for bags myself and charge the bill to you "tax payers " (trust me I will write it off as an expense for work) or expose all of you to hazardous waste

Why not stop these bags at the maufacturing process itself? So many governments turning a blind eye to this. Shouldnt there be a convention banning the production of these plastic bags? The answer is simple, the government agencies are bribed, funded for election campaigns, etc etc. all over the world this is a multi-billion dollar industry? why would they want to stop it? even each one of you would turn a blind eye if you were getting paid for it. THIS IS WORSE THAN OIL POLLUTION. OIL .

superb idea - come on US - we don't need a city, by city, after city, after city movement - lets get the ENTIRE country off of plastic bags now. Earth needs us now - not down the road. And China... Ireland and the others... you guys rock.

the writer made a very nice concise presentation. employed all the good tactics too. showed the harm, and presented the solution as easy to fix. it really is a minor convenience. sometimes those bags suck and not evne a convenience at all.
what i do is no bags. i take groceries to my trunk, where i have boxes, and load it int othem. then takes the boxes from my trunk to my home and put the boxes back. no need for bags at all!
