Well, the game engine is quite old now, but I still looks decent. Sounds arent too bad live, but recording it disorts them quite a bit. Also DucFreak made sound update to the game if your are interested.
It's based on the GTL engine, so it feels more like that than anything else. Imho it's a pretty has a pretty good feeling of the real thing, but hey no suprise there, cause BMW was involved in the developement. :)
The car it self is converted to GTL, GTR2 and rFactor as well, so you can actually take it for a spin on the Nordschleife, you can also swap the default track out in the original game, but thats more complicated than downloading the mod to any of the games above.
Well it's not too official, cause rF isn't really a Simbin / Blimey game. :)
Look around on the NoGrip forums rfactor section, there is the mods topic 2008 BMW E92 M3, dl links in the first post, and physics update attached at the bottom of the page. HF m8.

Love this game to bits, it's so much fun if you use a G25 and for free.
Only one track but it's a nice combination of all types of corners and you really have the feeling you can drive the nuts of the car and improve.

10Tacle Studios went bust recently so I think the lobby servers are down as well for the game, and that's why you aren't able to register. :(

It seems ok, but there's something in the cockpit that I don't like. And the sounds are horrible.
