Paul of the bible said that in his opinion, marrying was not his option because staying single made his ministry easier. That does not mean that every one who is called by God to preach His Word should remain a batchelor because paul( who is a prophet chose to or saw that as his opinion).
Listen, i dont think you understand what i am saying. First of all, there is no way i can say that bro branham is wrong about any message he preached to us with thus sayeth the Lord. I would be foolish to disagree because i will be disagreeing with God's word, thats not what i am doing here.
by the way, brother branham did not say it is wrong to intermarry, it was his opinion. To him, he would not advice for that. And he has a right to his opinion.
I was expecting you to say that. For people that want a way out.... or an excuse to inter-marry.... they always say that. Well I am sorry.... but anything Bro. Branham said over the pulpit...is as good as preached. If he said it at a picnic...thats maybe an opinion. But hey....bro. Branham's opinions are better than ours. He has to say 'thus saith the lord' for us to bother to listen? One question. Why ask...when its clear you have your own opinions and your mind made up. ?? Take care.
@LoveMokes actually, it is not as an excuse for anyone to intermarry but, if it is not in God's Word,we should not add our own understanding but leave it as God's Word, which bro banham said himself, go back and read God's Word. If he did not tell us God hates interracial marriages then we should not say he did.By the way,i am happily in love with a black man,N i am a black lady.So its not an excuse here, but clarification.Do not add to God's Word or add to our prophet's preachings.God bless u.
Sorry Bro. Branham did say that. Clearly. I'm not adding to God's word. No message believer would feel that way about Bro. Branham. Was not adding to God's word. He had authority to put his 'undestanding' to the word. Thatwas his job. And he most certaintly did say not to intermarry. I'd walka very careful line when disagreeing with God's endtimeword prophet, saying his message hereorthere was just his opinion. B/c you've never heard that he preached inter racial marriage doesn't mean he didn't.
@LoveMokes Actually, i will do exactly what our prophet said we should do in times like these. Refer back to God's Word. Now, keep in mind that he clearly stated it was his opinion. Our prophet's exact words were, (''TO ME, I WOULD LEAVE IT AS IT IS''). So, to support what you say that bro branham said it is against God's Word for people to intermarry i need you to show me in the bible where it is against God's Word for two races to intermarry. Refer back to God's Word. And that will settle it.
@rkimani87 The prophet is our example for this day and I will leave it to him to lead the way. Whether it be his 'opinion' or thus saith the Lord, I do not need to see it in the Bible to obey. The leadership of God's light through the prophet is good enough for me. I don't care that you can not find it in the Bible. The mind and thoughts on life through a prophet are much higher than odinary us.
@rkimani87 I'd take what he said in a flash rather than sit here and debate mentally over the issue or wonder about it with you or try to scramble around finding proof in the Bible for what he said. What kind of disrespect is that? We know WMB was in tune with the word. I'd rather believe he was on to something that we couldn't see or understand, as he was closer to heavenly things than we. And his words on the subject were a lot more in depth than 'leave it as it is' Much more.
I'm only 27 and though I've been attracted to mixed in the past, I heard Br. Branham say it was wrong and that was enough for me. And it was very hard to leave my boy friend. As did my sister. I know races take issue with the thought they shouldn't mix. But if you already had your firm opinion on the subject..... asking me about it was just begging to argue. I don't want to get into it with a 'message' believer. So I'll leave you to your path and go mine. You have yourself a wonderful day.
BTW I didn't mean to sound as though I'd take Br. Branham's word over the Bible. I believe that would be impossible. Br. Branham would never contradict the word of God. As I said he was in tune/ inline with the Word. I trust his judgement as much as possible. I don't get or think everything he says is fair but its not up to us decide. If this is 1 small way I can continue to walk in the prophet's path/example I'll do it.So many other things are harder. Im glad for something simple here and there
@LoveMokes Well, i am very glad that God's Word still stands that is why you cannot find it anywhere in the bible. There is nothing wrong with you taking what bro branham opinions,i encourage u to.Just do not condemn someone else who chooses to follow exactly what the bible said in cases like these. The bible is silent about races intermarrying N i will take it as that. And this is what bro branham said we need to do. N i will repeat myself again, that is why he made it clear as his own opinion!!
@LoveMokes One more thing, brother branham was very much in tune with the bible. He is my prophet. That is why when it came to his opinions,he was very careful N he made sure he clearly stated that it was his own opinion. But believers like you come back and twist it around and say that it is in God's Word, while it is not. That is why we have got to go back and refer to God's Word. What we were advised by our prophet. And u failed to show me the verse where our Living God is against it. . Period.
@rkimani87 Gen 1:11 1st Corinthians 15 And I could no more explain and get you to understand what Br. Branham meant by mixing the races, than any message believer could explain to a Baptist about baptising in Jesus name instead of trinity. Some people are just not meant to recieve the truth. I reread all the quotes on the computer today where you can search the entire message...and yes indeed Br. Branham said lots against it. I am settled in my mind. He said in one place, "Don't do that."
@LoveMokes A seed after its own kind means that when a plant or animal reproduces should reproduce after its kind. So, if u plant seeds from an apple, u get an apple tree rather than an orange tree. If two cats reproduce, u get a litter of new kittens(not mice). When two humans reproduce, they get a human child(not monkeys or any beast).Humans are in the same seed.Thats why we are also warned we need to be equally yoked since we also have different seeds in the belief of God.
I agree with you brother. It was just brother Branham' s opinion and advise. But people in the message try to make it doctrine. I think when you make interracial marriage a doctrine, it means you are creating a false doctrine because it is not in the bible. The doctrine has to match with Word of God that is what brother Branham taught us. Believers in the message have to treat every doctrine the same.
@LoveMokes Listen, i dont think you understand what i am saying. First of all, there is no way i can say that bro branham is wrong about any message he preached to us with thus sayeth the Lord. I would be foolish to disagree because i will be disagreeing with God's word, thats not what i am doing here.
@LoveMokes And by the way, i am not saying that brother branham added onto God's Word. Do Not put those Words in my mouth. What i am saying is people have added onto what he preached to us, which is very wrong. If he did not say something is against God, then do not say that he did. Let us not forget that above being a powerful prophet of God, he is also human who is entitled to his opinion. But do not, i repeat, we should not add onto what he said. That will be like adding onto God's Word.
@LoveMokes Now its the same way he advised that women should be housewives and take care of the home and husbands should be the ones to work. Does not mean we do not have working ladies who are believers or if i as a lady gets to have a career it is against God's Word. It was just what he would advice the church. Now when it comes to baptism, it is very clear in the bible said that we should not baptize in the trinity. It is so very clear, and if anyone cannot read that then they are just blind.
Something I've always wondered, If this preacher were to take a stand or begin to preach against inter-racial marriage....how much of his church would leave?
@LoveMokes Hello, i am a christian believer who is seeking to know if there is a scripture in the bible where God said two races should not inter-marry. What i know is that, a christian believer should NOT marry a Non- Christian believer. More so, Ruth in the bible married outside her race and also Moses the prophet married an Ethiopian(Cushite) woman who is definitely not Hebrew. And when Miriam spoke bad about moses because of that, God was so angry that she had to be put out of the camp.
That was b/c she spoke bad about the prophet Moses. Doesn't matter what the subject, it could have been as simple as laughing at his shoes, and she would have been displeasing the Lord. It wasn't the subject matter. It was her attitude. What the Bible's Old testement people (Jews) did and were allowed to 'get away' with was for their day. Then Jesus came and started a 'NEW testement' for the gentiles. As did a prophet for our day come. And that prophet WMB had no hesitation in saying no.
@LoveMokes but, our prophet said that ''he thinks'' and he believes on questions and answers Thursday_62-0719B, ''To me, you ought to leave it the way God had it. He made white men, black men, brown men.He is a God of variety. That's what i think......'' That was his opinion. Not to forget that his grandma was a full blood indian and there is nothing wrong with that.
Bro. Branham clearly stated in his sermons under leadership of Holy Ghost that he thought it wrong for one race to marry another, produce children of a mixed nature. He said that God made a certain colour and distinction b/c he thought it beautiful and it pleased him. Then man came and mixed it all up. If you are of a mixed race, you would read that quote and be offended and want to speak as Mariam did. And then you'd be in danger of God's wrath for feeling so towards the prophet of OUR day.
@rkimani87 If you are a believer and have a way to look up these quotes in the message, then you will see several passages where he spoke out against this latter day act. Most believers practice mix marriage, even our preachers. But I believe it is a trick of the devil that God allows, to weed out the called from the unpredestinated. B/c seed will hear and understand truth and not agrue with it. Our feelings will not matter.
@LoveMokes There is nowhere in the scripture that God said if you marry someone from another color, you will go to hell. What i know is DO NOT marry a non-believer. God has told us that several times in the bible and brother branham preached it to us also as God's Will or thus saith the Lord, come out of the world. God's Word shall always remain to be God's Word.N dont for any minute add to it,or take away from it. If the bible is silent about issue of interacial marriages, leave it as it is.
In fact God doesn't care if we think this point is racist. When and where does OUR feelings and thoughts come into play in his overall plan. We don't just do and obey as we see fit or fair. We have to trust that he is right. And if we believe that God sent a prophet for our day to show us right and wrong for OUR time (not Moses's etc).... we wont mix our races, simply b/c he said it was fully wrong. We often kick against obeying, like little kids, but in the end a real child of God wins out
@LoveMokes Actually, In other countries it has gone as far as believers saying that bro.branham said that a woman should not drive because it is God's Will. When clearly it is just adding words to him.May God have mercy on us and may His Will continue to be done in our lives. Shalom.
@LoveMokes Every one has their own opinion in this life. But we should not add words to our prophet's mouth N say he preached to us,thus saith the Lord,we should not intermarry. If brother Branham is to resurrect right now,i wonder what he would tell us,who have twisted God's Word N claim that he told us its our Lord's Will. When clearly,he ellaborated it,as his opinion.Above being a prophet,he was a human being who had his own views, N he has every right right to it.
@LoveMokes One more thing is,show me in the bible that God does not want people of two races to intermarry.Really, bro branham will not be liable for people who have twisted God's Word N said that he preached to us that way.More so,its good to support where u read that brother branham said it is against God's Word for you to intermarry.
@LoveMokes Another great example, Paul(the prophet of his day) of the bible said that in his opinion, marrying was not his option because staying single made his ministry easier. That does not mean that every one who is called by God to preach His Word should remain a batchelor because paul( who is a prophet chose to or saw that as his opinion).
@LoveMokes Same thing with our prophet branham. He said in his opinion, he would prefer not to intermarry. Not that if you do you will go to hell. No, that was his opinion.Bro branham always said, go back and read God's Word about any question we may have.Because everything he preached to us came from the Bible. It is God's Word. Thats why, whenever it came to his opinion, he made sure that he clarified it as his opinion. And not as, ''thus sayeth the Lord, do not intermarry''.He made it clear.
@LoveMokes Now i have searched again and just found it once where he mentioned that he would not understand why a colored girl would want to marry a white man and have mulatto children(as he put it) or vice-versa and he said that to him, he would want to remain how our maker made him. And quite frankly this was expressed as his opinion and in actually a very nice way, but it was his opinion. Now, please show me the other quotes where you mentioned he said, ''dont do that''. I need to read it.
@LoveMokes You know, if our prophet actually advised us because he saw it had also brought so much racail tension and he never understood why people would just leave it as it is. But anyway, it is the same way he said that the day america gave women the right to vote that it was the worst mistake that ever occured. Personally on voting, i will let my husband vote. After all he is my head. N whoever who he sees is the best one to put in office,i will settle with that. Thats just me on voting.
The Lord knew the very desire of my heart, so He laid it on Bro. Joel's heart to sing it anyway, and he had no idea I needed that song. Of all the songs he could have sang, it was that one! The Lord knows JUST what to do and EXACTLY the right time. I was going through a hard time, but God came and showed me once again, He careth for me! Praise the Lord that he would love ME! That he would grant something so insignificant, but because I cared, He did, too. Thank you JESUS!
This is one of my very favorite songs. A couple of months ago my pastor had Bro. Joel Brown come and preach for us and he told us ahead of time he was coming so I had set in my mind that I wanted to put a request for hium to sing this song, but when the day came for him to preach, I completely forgot about it and didn't put up the request. When Bro. Joel came out, I remembered about the request I wanted and was a little upset because I knew I wouldn't get to hear it-but God had other plans
Amen. Something Keeps holding me here and that is the Good Lord above. He is helping me and Leading me and giving me the stregth to make it. Jesus is all I need and he is my help and my comfort. Is not it gonna be a blessing when we see his wonderful face? Lord help me to make it in the rapture and do what you would have me to do. I love you Lord and I need you more than ever before. Let God keep holding you here to get close to him.
hi to all spoken word believers here and everywhere,,,i just want to ask if there is a church in Netherlands who believe in same prophet and same message...im a filipina and im almost 7 mos. here.....
Wonderful and so uplifting song folks, how ever i would love it more if you please put or add the lyrics to it. God Bless you more brothers
