There was a wonderful Robin Hood Flour commercial song, up until at least the early 1960s, sung in French, that sounded as if based on a French-Canadian folk song, which I would love to hear again and know anything more about. It was very cheerful and catchy. I heard it on French-language radio in Winnipeg in late 1962 and early 1963, but also I think before that on French-language radio elsewhere. Can anyone help, there?
When I saw it in the early 80s I remember thinking how spontaneous and appealingly honest it was. And that--it seemed to me--was utterly modern (and very successful) for something as ordinary as an all-purpose flour.
That is the theme from the TV show, though clearly rerecorded for this commerical.
I distinctly remember this, especially seeing Robin himself at the end. It's wierd that it doesn't seem that dated -- perhaps an early example of shooting on film, then transferring to video for editing, so the film doesn't have that scratchy look. The only thing that makes it look dated is the style of glasses worn by the two elderly women.

I wonder what that woman at 0:21 doing to get that flour on her face.
There was another version of this where Robin Hood says something like, "It's a piece of cake", at the end.

Is this music in the TV commercial the instrumental version of the 1950's Adventures of Robin Hood TV show?
