Even though I'm from another country (USA if you're wondering) I can say that Canada is my second favorite country. This video makes me want to put it higher on my list
I'm American and have never heard this poem before and didn't know what is was used for but then I looked it up and watched this again and started crying. I love you Canada! :)
This actually made me cry....I was singing my choir's version of 'In Flander's Fields' while watching this...*wipes eyes* This was so touching....great video!
The Canadians are bad-asses. It was said that the Germans (in the World Wars) would rather face American, British, French, and Russian battalions together than face a Canadian one.
I'm reciting Flander's Fields for my school at our Remembrance Day assembly tomorrow. Your two videos inspired all the more to recite it with my heart.
This is why sometimes I feel greatly insulted by Hidekaz Himaruya caricature of Canada. He is cute and all but contributed greatly to WW2 and shouldn't be forgotten.
@sapphirewarrior the reason why Canada is not put as a main character for it is probably because we we're a colony of england at the time and not considered a real nation yet. I do also find it insulting though that we're not there considering after world war one we we're basically already considered an independant nation and in world war two we did do a huge part as well.
It's also human nature to hope. And as long as enough people believe in that hope, it's also in our nature to strive to get it. Humans have beaten so many odds, this is simply one great hurdle we have to learn to overcome.
@senritsu01 not necessarily as long as humans live but as long as religious and race intolerance lives. Some countries haven't seen war in a long while and don't plan on seeing it soon either. Others unfortunatly see the need for it and drag others down with them. its sad really. =(
Oh lord. Canada's national anthem is awesome. It's sad I only know the first few lines of it (but hey--that's better than most Americans).

I still can't get over how emotionally hard-hitting yet heart-breakingly beautiful this video is :)

What is the music behind this? I know its the Canadian anthem, but I would love to know what version it is and who sung it.

Sadly human nature wont allow peace, as long as humans live there will always be war...
