That was good driving. What ya on about? Locos like that were always slipping,it done very well to get where it did up there.

That was nothing like blue peter when it broke all the motion. That happend to blue peter cause it was priming and the regulator was stuck open and he coudnt shut it.

I live in paignton didnt know about it here until i saw this and i was eating dinner today and i could hear its whistle from my house! I want to go on it but unfortunatly the tickets are £60!!!!

I can't say that I loved the wheel spin. That could have been very nasty as she was working close to full regulator there. A repeat of 60532 could have happened.

60532 departed Durham without any slipping, after she had passes over Durham viaduct she slipped, the force of which carried water into the cylinders blowing the covers of the cylinders, bending the motion and damage to the axle.The speed of the slip was estimated to be 140mph!

Nice video, that was very nearly a repeat of 60532 Blue Peter's catastrophic slip at Durham in 1994

@Daniel5343 Except that the reverser was almost certainly locked. What went wrong with Blue Peter was the reversing handle was spinning out of control. Driver would have smashed his hands if he tried to stop it!
