I talked to Peggy once after a concert in 1991 and said I loved the part in the video (around 2:35) where she flips her glasses up and down. She actually blushed. It was the cutest thing ever. This song just brings back so many memories. Thanks for posting it!
All GREAT songs have little hooks that are crushingly perfect. NATIVE SON has that moment at 2:42 , when the "nothing no one, nowhere" progression walks down a "half" step...unique to that moment in the song....musically perfect!
@harrodsongs : I couldn't agree more; this sound would be on the college charts today and would be garnering a ton of indie radio play. I saw these guys at a small club in Cincinnati back in '03 and they were still just as great

I agree with Astralislux. Love this video but refuse to watch that freaking Geico a-hole so I am removing this from my favorites list. Long live the Judybats!
One of the best bands of all-time and yet never got the recoginition they so richly deserved. Native Son is still my favorite album by the Judybats. I know Jeff has been busy working and releasing new material and he still sounds great and has had some decent songs and great music. Personally for me however, the lyrics are dark and unsettling and to be frank perverted. I wish he would go back to the all day afternoon I love you's among the satellite dishes and find innocence again.
This is one of my favorite songs of the period, even though I didn't hear of the Judybats until the mid 90s, and this song until a couple years ago. But it sings to me, and the style is so cool.
LOVE LOVE LOVE The Judybats! I remember going to so many of their shows in Chicago in the early 90's. They rocked!

This song still sounds as fresh and cool and weird as it did 20 years ago.

I stopped watching this because it tried to force me to watch a commercial. No thanks. It is not my pleasure.
