I'm trying to use my AT&T iPhone 4 sim card in a restored, not activated sprint iPhone 4s and when i follow the directions in this videom iTunes says "the sim card in this iPhone does not appear to be supported" how can i fix this?

Thanks for the video; but very misinform. the sprint iphone 4s you have must already be unlocked, sprint shipped or sold before Nov 11th/2011 are sim unlocked and afterward is locked (sim) if you put the at&t sim it will show atnt also..not sure why you need the peruvian sim..my 2cents.

My girlfriend bought me a Sprint iphone 4S from craigslist as my xmas gift. I live in Brazil and was hoping I would be able to use the phone here. The person who sold it to her said we'd be able to pop a sim card from Brazil and it would work, she is not very tech savvy so she believed the seller. Now I did everything this video said to do, but a message came up on itunes saying the SIM wasn't supported. Is there any other way for me to get it to work here in Brazil?

@eacks9 tell your girlfriend to call sprint because it should work but you have to use a certian kind of SIM card, the phone is unlocked for International SIM she need to call them or you can call them if you can, I think you have the wrong kind of SIM card you might have to buy another SIM that is compatible with the device. hope this help

@eacks9 I just got mine unlocked. As long as you have an account in good standing, they will unlock it for you. All it involves is removing the Sprint Sim card that is in the phone, but they have to do something on their end to unlock it.

I have the same problem where my phone doesn't recognize the new sim card and says that it's not a supported sim card, contact your carrier. I have tried following your instructions but no luck. Hey, I have a sprint phone and using it with a sim card not in the US. I was wondering if you could help me out here. I bought this before 11/11, but opened the box and activated on 11/13. The phone does not activate like it does in your video. It activates with the Sprint sim card, but when I swap over with the local, it goes back to the grey screen and says it is an incompatible sim.
