I used clips from existing fanvideos and took the bits I wanted and edited them - put effects on them and flipped them and things. It was the only way I could see of really getting any clips- I don't know how other people do it!

I used a firefox add on called media-pirate to get them off youtube, but they download in a weird unreadable file type, so I changed it using winff- not sure how you get tht though, my brother downloaded it off the internet.

Not sure how helpful that is, but hope it is!
