I love this band so much! Thanks for the quality upload :). I have some really sweet HD quality vids of them on my YouTube channel (2010 show in Amsterdam, the Netherlands).
I picked up this album when it was first released years ago; it still sounds fresh every time I play it + always makes for a most pleasant diversion :-)
It just hit me that this song is being played so brilliantly LIVE. So many bands sound all sloppy live, but this sounds damn near like the record! Oh man would I love to have seen Hepcat back in the day. And I was only 7 or 8 years old at the time, but I probably would've loved it nonetheless!
The performance is from December 1997! I might be able to dig up the date sometime but I guess that may be good enough..recorded this for my myself while on christmas vacation...
dont forget Alex Desert was also on Boy Meets World. one of the best ska bands ever besides my ex bro in laws old 90s ska band from Detroit called The Parka Kings
What I really love about ska is that even when the song is about lost love (in this case, your woman wanting to be with another man) or other quite depressing subjects, they still make you want to dance!
Another good example of this is Lord Brynner's "Congo War" (it's on YouTube, check it out) - a song about the 1960's civil war, yet you just can't help feel happy listening to it...lol
Time or Newsweek named 'Right On Time' one of the top albums of '98 (The Boy Band craze was given the 'worst of the year' honor). Glad someone was paying attention to them during the time.
@zxc545454 Another point to -Right on Time-... though the strugle with the -Scientific- album will continue i guess...
i personaly preffer Right on Time `cos it contains 2 of my top 5 favorite Hepcat songs (Pharoah´s Dreams and Baby Blues) and my alltime favorite ska song (Tommy´s Song... though i preffer the live version... which you can hear on a video I uploaded not too long ago n___n)
One of the best bands ever! Thanks for posting this. Takes me back, seems like it would have been around 1997, they were with WARP Tour round that time. This album still finds it's way into my car regularly. such chill tunes, I love it.
Hepcat is so fucking underrated it makes me want to stab my pop music loving neighbors but then I play a Hepcat song and chill and forgot about such violence...
fukin amazing love you guys and hope to see you soon. i have been a fan here in LA for over a decade now.. wow, a decade... time flys when u having fun. much respect

God, Alex, with talent like that you were wasted on Becker. Anyone else think Deston bears a resemblance to Floyd Patterson?
