@SlayerMatt69 I'm really trying to scour my memory because I was pretty young when I watched this. Another scene I remember was a cop taking cover behind a car from two or three aliens who using a high calibur weapon put hole after hole right through the car until they killed the cop.

Searches on "The Enemy Within" didn't turn anything up, I'd love to remember what I watched.

@Irishfreedom I think that was the original movie too, just called Alien Nation, with Mandy Patinkin and James Caan. It was made before the series (which was based on the movie) and has different actors but same characters.

And the acting was great all around - particularly Eric Pierpoint. BTW I think the TV series and follow-up TV movies were far superior to the original theatrical release movie in just about every way.

I remember this show - vaguely. I used to watch it as a kid. I remember being fascinated by the idea of aliens and humans co-existing on the same planet. But after watching these credits again, I think I'm remembering the show as being better than it actually was, and I never realized how freaking bad the special effects makeup and garb was. But still, kotk has a point that stuff like this is wayyy better than today's tv, which says alot, none of it good lol.

Probably the last great sci fi TV show made. Nothing as good has been released since Alien Nation. It was original, emotional and adventurous. Everything now has to have gruesome aliens and half the world has to be blown up and is predictable. I was so upset that the Christian Coalition slammed the show so much that the show was forced to be pulled.

The movie was " so - so ", the series WAS GOLD !! I hear there is going to be a re - make, kind of like " V ". Ever since he success of Galactica's re - envisioning, everyone's talking re - makes.

The Christian Coalition slammed the show cause of the pagan theme of the Tenctons. The show was threatened several times and was one of the reasons the show ended. The studio never admitted it loudly but released a statement a year later saying they had too much pressure from the Coalition. Oddly the faith that was created by the writers for the Tencton was one of peace and love. Go fig. Hate remakes so I will avoid the new one at all cost.

Christian Coalition evidently thought that peace & love aren't family values. They are either gone or on their last legs.

Whoever cancelled " Alien Nation " should be vetted out, suspended headfirst in a vat of yak urine, then if they're not dead of oxygen deprivation, they should be dragged behind a motorcycle by their earlobes. Cancelling one of Fox's few good shows that had a social conscience was the depth of STUPIDITY.

Man this show kicked ass! I don't know why it only lasted 1-2 seasons. There was so much more that could've been done with it. Even with the little sub-movies that came out for it. It still was awesome. George Francisco and SIKES! And since I was little (I was like 5-6 years old when this first came out) I always found the beginning theme quite catchy. Up til this day I even sing it to myself once in awhile. Aint that weird?

I love Matt Sikes played by Garty Graham and his and Cathy' Frankel's relationship I love it all. I bought the one and only season box set. the complete series on DVD from Amazon and I just ordered all five movies box set of Alien Nation that were made for TV Movies from Amazon as well. I love them. I remember when it first aired when I was a a senior in high school. 21 Jumpstreet and Alien Nation were my shows. I have the complete series of all!

This I think is the best sci fi show ever on television. It's closest to what literary science fiction does with its aliens, putting a new perspective on people through the alien race gimmick, and putting the alien race into a human perspective. It's not perfect, but it's coherent, complete, and I love it.

This was innovative, because the Newcomers / Tenctonese were THE ULTIMATE refugees. They were either accepted or else treated like other people to come to our shores.

The BEST science fiction doesn't deal with ray guns, space - ships & funny little robots, it deals with people - Even people with Pepto - pink blood & strange looking heads. I LOVED it !!
