I say you are doin' a good job with this but after leveling up your characters a little bit move on to somewhere where there is more experience like Lindblum (after you get Garnet over there)

Pretty much one of the least favourable places to grind at disc 1. You should be stealing Tents from those flower-like monsters. That's your goal, not lvl grinding.

Grinding in Disc 1; start slaying Garudas at Popos Heights. You can reach that location through Gizamaluke's Grotto. I got at lvl 35 in less that 10 hours or something like that. If you want proof, check my videos. I'm doing a boss-slaying guide with the goal of slaying Tantarian from disc 2 and Ozma from disc 3

nothing in general. its just a kill time while waiting for somewhere to go, or for someone to be free project ( and even then its all auto controller)

You'd need 296 days of turbo grind to get to 99..

At the moment I'm doing the whole Steiner turbo button grind and even that seems like it takes forever. Only took him a day to get from level 20 to 57. I'm using ePSXe and Xpadder for turbo.

In Alexandria Castle. In disc 2 where Steiner and Marcus were trapped in a cage. You have Steiner use Auto-Potion and give Marcus the Blood Sword so he doesn't die and can help speed things up a bit. Then all you have to do is just stand in place as the guards run right up to you. I always thought it was really fitting to have Steiner (Pluto Knights Captain) take his revenge via filing the tower full of the scantily clad corpses of the all female (and rival) army division.

Work and life kept me pretty busy, this is just something I can throw on and let it auto-play for a bit.

I thought of it after seeing someone reach level 99 in the first dungeon of FF7...and found that no one ever did it in ff9...Course its completely obvious why.
