Not everyone believes it's "wrong" either. Basically, it's your belief. Not just you, but other people as well, I understand that, but many people don't go by that system of belief either. Because civil unions don't have the same rights. For instance, civil unions are not recognized in all states, nor are they recognized internationally, further more homophobic states have already made moves to make them not equal. One example is the law that now states that only "married" couples can adopt children. Separate is never equal.

Civil unions have all the same rights in California. Internationally they have are recognized in Europe and Canada and a few other countries. But even if gays get a marriage license countries could say it they are invalid because they do not consist of a man and woman.

The so called "traditional" definition of marriage is actually quite new (between a man and a woman of equal status). The older tradition on which it is based (the transfer of ownership from father to suitor) has become more or less obsolete only in the last century. Neither of these definitions are anywhere near universal outside Judeo-Christian-Muslim culturesm, and within J-C-M cultures, marriage has varied more than people assume, and more often than not, allowed for multiple wives.

In a way, it was GOOD that Prop 8 passed, because this horrible injustice served as a WAKE UP CALL for millions of Americans who now realize how UNFAIR and HATEFUL Prop 8 was.

Not everyone believes it's "wrong" either. Basically, it's your belief. Not just you, but other people as well, I understand that, but many people don't go by that system of belief either. I'm not attempting to normalize it. I'm recognizing it. It's not my life. Many gays don't act any differently from straight people (The only time you'd know they weren't straight is, obviously, in their love life). I personally don't see the huge deal about it. More important things need to be solved.

That is a poor example because the MAJORITY of people eat hamburgers. Hamburgers are nutritious and provide all the food groups. However eating too many can be harmful. But it is a source of food and intended to be eaten.

Our bodies were not "designed". Anal sex does not equal homosexuality. Homosexuality is a physical and emotion attraction to the same sex, which occures under natural circumstances. Also "natural" in the sense of biological systems outside of human society do not always make for sound or just social policy, eg infancide, eating of others, killing children that are not biologically yours when you get a new partner. Its natural to want to be with the sex that you are attracted

Homosexuality is a natural variation of sexuality in humans that can convey a survival benefit to the group in terms of creating a labor and resource pool in times of limited resources. You need to understand the dynamic factors in group selection.

What about places where divorce rates are low? Marriage trends can always change. Conservative countries such as India have amongst the lowest divorce rates.

1. Gays being able to marry would not effect straight marriages. Men and women would still be able to marry with out any difference.
2. Traditional Marriage would be the women being exchanged by her father to a suitor for monetary or property value. Not to mention the suitor could have multiply wives.

Because civil unions don't have the same rights. For instance, civil unions are not recognized in all states, nor are they recognized internationally, further more homophobic states have already made moves to make them not equal. One example is the law that now states that only "married" couples can adopt children. Separate is never equal.

I'm saying that God created man in his image and likeness, and behold, it was good. That's a quote. God created everything, therefore, nothing can be created without God's influence. Homosexuality is a form of love, regardless of the gender. It does say in the bible that it is a sin, yes. But in other places it says that God accepts all his children. Would this not include gays? You'll notice that the perception of God changes from forgiving and accepting, to...not.
