This is so sad, when are the people that are trained and supposed to help us gunna step up.My son was very sickly as a baby and im just very lucky this didnt happen to me. Doctors always tell parents "you know when somethings wrong with your child" so y don't they listen when parents are telling them that. I'm so sorry this happened to you,bless your family and your gorgeous little boy,now i will treasure my Jaedyn even more knowing how lucky i am to still have him.

i absolutely bawled all the way through this. its so scary that this could happen, many of times my children have been on ammoxicillin and to think this couldve happened to them is heart wrenching. im so sorry for u loss its broken my heart, thoughts and prayers are with the family

Hello MBF, good for you on looking for alternatives to ear infections. I would try chiropractic care and a product called "Sovereign Silver" (found in natural / health stores) which you can drop right into the ear.  That combo has worked like a charm for us for Wyatt's brothers. Wyatt's reaction was definitely caused from the AB's and its so unnecessary to prescribe them for an ear infection (something we found out after the fact) which is what makes this so tragic.

Oh my goodness I am in tears. As a mother of a 18 month old and a 7 year old who share a special brightly bond I am beyond words as to what I would do if anything evr happened to them. I admire your strength and I would love to know more information about alternatives to amoxicillin. My baby is allergic to it also. He had a reaction and just wasn't acting right. I have just watched your video with my 2 year old daughter and am now trying to explain to her why Mommy is sobbing like a ninny. What a horrible chain of events. So sorry for your loss. I also went into liver failure after antibiotics were given to me after a simple procedure. I was in the hospital for a month, almost died, and they say I am lucky to be alive. I am still suffering from my permantly damaged liver. I agree, most people do not know this can happen to them from taking a simple antibiotic. Thanks for being so proactive, spreading the word and making the video.

I feel for every family who has suffered due to man made drugs. I would like to share this in hopes it may help, someone avoid this tragedy!

When my oldest daughter (Johnna) kept getting ear aches after going to the doctors and getting man-made drugs, I knew something was not right!! That these drugs were not helping and even seemed to be causing recurrence! This is when I starting seeking alternative medicine, and found an amazing remedy!!

Remedy for ear ache: What you need Must be 100% piece of wool a cut handkerchief into a square (like 3x3) washcloth ice water Place the cut piece of handkerchief in ice water, ring out excess. Place on top of ear. Place piece of dry wool (doubled folded) on top of wet handkerchief. Place double folded dry washcloth on top of wool. Let it on there for at least 45 minutes. It does not matter if you lay on that ear or have the ear facing up towards the ceiling. This Will suck The Infection Out!

The human body should be able to fight off these types of infections...Our problem is that we think we need to treat everything with drugs not knowing the long tem effects of these things nevernind the building imunities to all these meds.

I met you this past weekend at Dr. Jacksons seminar in San Diego. I have two daughters and I have no idea what I would do if anything happened to either of them. I'm so sad and shocked right now. I'm a young first time mom and I happen to work in a pharmacy. I don't even want to go in today after this story. Wyatt was very handsom and it's tragadies like this that are very eye opening. Thank you for sharing your story I can't imagine how hard it was to do.

I cannot believe this, my son Jordan passed away in 2005 at 4 months because of this amoxycillin bullshit. He was healthy except for an ear infection and was gone within 48hrs of being on it. I am so mad words cannot describe what I am feeling right now. I am so sorry that Wyatt passed away. These corrupt companies who make this poison must be stopped.

Thanks for the comments and the prayers. While Wyatt did not suffer from SJS, he did have a reaction to a prescribed drug (Amoxycillin). This particular reaction is rare, but happens more often with Augmentin (which contains a mixture of Amox). The amazing thing is that most people do not realize the severity of drug reactions and the fact that they are the #4 killer in the US killing over 150k people per year. It's a shame that the death of a child has to bring this fact to light.

p.s., my cousin Stephanie was diagnosed w/Stephen Johnson's syndrome when she was 2 years old after taking Children's Motrin. The effects were nearly deadly and indescribable. The doctors at that time knew next to nothing about the disease. I have heard about children getting SJS from Amoxcicillin as well, does this have any relation to what your son went through?
