Everyone knows VANILLA rocked. Now the question is, will there ever be another like it again? It's just sad that all us who experienced it will have the memories forever branded in our hearts. Latest games released like RIFT and so many other lack the feel. Nothing can replicate Vanilla. Vanilla had purpose, an epic feel, & "FUN". 3 things nothing can replicate. Damn miss it.

Ah, the Vanilla Paladin. The time when dpsing meant pretty much auto attacking... So glad I never have to deal with that, ever again.

If the new expansion Cataclysm be a shit like the others expansions I think blizzard should make some realms with Pre BC so they could see how many players would make those Pre BC servers full in hours :P Wow is still funny but I hate how you can get anything really fast or if you don't have enough Gearscore they dont want you in the group.

In vanilla 60 when an epic item dropped you thoguht it was fucking awesome.

Dungeons did not really drop alot of epic gear and it was difficult to get full epic gear.

Now all you do is just sit in a capital waiting for the LFG Tool to find you a group so that you can go get full t9...

@Muluin I take it, you are implying that WoW has become "easy"? Then how can someone who is new to WoW catch up to the other players who were playing since Vanilla or since the Wotlk expansion launched? There's a reason for the emblem system other then "OMGWTFBBQ NUBZ BE GETTING FREE EPIX!!!111one111" New players shouldn't be locked out of the rest of the content. Since raiding Naxx and Ulduar is pretty much impossible now.

Sure epics are not the same thing anymore and it will never be, but getting good epic gear and legendary weapons are still kind of difficult.

I've had this problem with getting good gear myself. I quit playing for half a year or so to focus more on my studies. When I got back the gearscore system was in and my naxxramas gear was pretty much worthless. Took me a long time to find icc groups. Hehe.

@CanderousXOrdo Nothing should be easier for anyone, because this old Vanilla was and still is the best WoW version.. Difficulty made it for a longer lifespan and it had a great place, MMORPGs. What MMORPG have you heard to have an end?.. This game used to be unique in: - difficulty - content - grindfest that made sense - tie-in locations through quests, story and grinding - complexity. WotLK is just as bland as every other MMORPG in: - difficulty - quests - story - crafts - pvp - grindfest

yeah...wow used to have a certain level of epic-ness back then. you had to explorer to find instances, world PVP existed and raids were definitely not easy to come by. Now you can sit in a major city and level cap by just using the new LFG tool without even stepping out into the world.

When did hunters have focus instead of mana? As far as i can remember, Hunters had mana ever since release of PRE TBC :S

These were indeed the days. Back then each class actually had their own roles. Now every class in the game can do just about anything. I remember when only a few classes were able to CC/Stun, now Paladins and Warriors can keep you stunned longer than a Rogue.

Although I don't enjoy the new WoW as much as the old, it's not enough to make me stop playing. I still love and enjoy the game. I just think Blizzard needs to give classes their originality back.

I'm just looking forward to their inevitable next most successful MMO. Supposedly it isn't going to be a high fantasy MMO, you know with orcs elves. Shit like that. apparently they've confirmed it will NOT be a starcraft MMO. Although that would be amazing. However they said it isn't going to be anything like WoW, gunna have a different interface. Game mechanics will be different. That's all i've really heard about it. Not sure how much of that is true.

Agree, Pre TBC all the way <3 The game and the classes and the raids and everyhting had more of a feeling to itself back there, Now it seems like blizz dont give a crap anymore, You know? I wish they made pre tbc servers...

Its like every class was unique, but they felt they needed to make them all on par with each other in the interest of "balance" so they gave them all abilities that are knock offs of other classes abilities. I mean lets be serious, destruction warlocks are nothing but wannabe fire mages. Chaos Bolt = Lava Burst. I just wish classes would go back to being themselves.

@TtOoUgGgUuYy how? you know its true. Lets look at this rationally. Living bomb, is an aoe fire damage dealer, immolate. The scorch debuff = curse of elements. Fireball = incinerate. Fire blast = conflagrate. pyroblast = soul burn. and we dont really have a chaos bolt, but its damn close enough.

Reckoning before. 20/40/60/80/100% chance of being a victim of a critical will give u a extra attack stackable..

Reckoning now. 2/4/6/8/10% Chance of getting a extra attack for 8 seconds.

The addition of resil ruined pvp as well, along with to many stuns existing with not enough diminishing returns and unbalanced classes. EVERYTHING changed
