Not too many people know that the 1989 Mr. Irrelevant is none other than Everett Ross, #5 that played for Ohio State, and had to be one of the biggest talents that came out of Ohio State. I will always have fond memories of you Everett and know that I will always love you . Buckeyes forever!!!!!
Wonder why Kevin Murray never had an NFL career? Good thing for A&M he decided to skip his senior year and declare for the draft. The next year the Aggies throttled Notre Dame and Tim Brown 35-10.
I would like to see the bowl games be less rigid on the conference match-ups. It would be nice if a Big Ten team could have a chance at the Cotton Bowl more often
I would like to see a and m become a better program again, it would make the big 12 a better conference and provide more competition for the likes of texas
19 out of 22 starters from OH. Their team had a smattering of FLA and VA starters earlier in the 80's. Maybe this (lack of speed?) came to bite them a little bit the next couple of years?
What a game. Buckeyes were heavy underdogs going to Dallas to play aTm and dominated on defense. Earle broke out the undertaker outfit for this one. Only Cotton Bowl appearance ever for a Big 10 team IIRC. Thanks for everything, OHD!
This is where Earle donned the suit and fedora for the first time.

I remember watching this game and it was a big upset. IIRC, Spielman had a huge game.
