I love that he says his own name lol. Mega memories from this game. Loved it to death back in the day, wish I had an Amiga now! I still got my Gameboy and the Robocop game for that, but it doesn't compare to this though.
@JasonLee215 Switch blade 2 and Zool are the ones on top of my head that run in 50-60 fps, but I shouldn't have said that because most games on home computers of the late 80/early 90's and consoles run most games in 25 fps.
@JasonLee215 Oh well I trough that it was a 87 game because of the copyright on the title screen which says 1987, seeing that this is from 1989 this really lazy...
Probably the only arcade-type game I ever finished without cheats. I learned early on that you have to make sure to get rid of the 3-way shots before you reach ED-209, or you'll never bee able to kill him.
Ugh, one of the worst Atari ST conversions ever made for the Amiga. With the right programming, they could have done a close conversion of the arcade game.
This is a direct port from the Atari ST version. *sigh* Lazy developers back in those days. I mean the code was usually very optimized back in those days, but when they found ways to make a port, fast and dirty, they'd do it, without reguard to the gamers nor the hardware capabilities, leaving us the gamers sorely dissapointed. :(

@JasonLee215 I mean on home AND consoles of the early 80/90's ;) it was very late when I posted the 60 fps comment but it was still possible to do.

@JasonLee215 The Atari ST couldn't but the Amiga version could have been very close with 60 fps and better graphics if the developers wanted it,
however being from 1987 it is a achievement making a Amiga game already (presuming the developers didn't have a A1000).

Ocean Software could've made a better Amiga RoboCop game if they didn't use the arcade game it had more advanced hardware

best thing about Robocop was only the music.

ED209 beqt you! You shoudl have run to find some steps and the stupid thing falls down them cause it cant walk down steps!
Robocop is superior, having superb step power. He is the step master.

Wow, it looks like the Commodore version but uses the music from the movie instead of the now-classic C64 Robocop music :(

Which isn't a coincidence as James Pond 2 was called James Pond 2: Robocod.

Atari ST version = better
audio, gameplay, graphics
JasonLee333 4 years ago
ocean software messed up
ocean only used 512 Kilo-Bytes
if ocean used a Mega-Byte
