Hahah, now that is funny. We are just starting out with a few pet cows on our property, and would love to train them as well as this! But i guess it takes practice.
This is nice training but I disagree with your claim that longhorns possess special intelligence. Any bovine with proper training would master this without any problem.
Just praise and treats for positive reinforcement of deisred behaviour. But, of course Texas Longhorns are very intelligent and very unlike ordinary cattle.
can you post more training vedio~?
i am training a Holstein, i want to know how to make her lay down too ;)
pls~~~

That is so sweet! So cows do have brains and can be trained instead of just slaughtered and eaten! Thanks for posting!

@Betcsbirds One can easily do both: perhaps training and exhibition while younger, and then when up to eating age... mmm, talented beef... ^.^

well, I stand corrected. It is a she. I confused the umbilicus for a male organ. Has utters, not huevos.

Hey there, just wondering what it is you use a treats for them?

@TheMandtj I agree. I have begun training my Guernsey X Jersey cross and she picked up on the idea really fast.

Why do you say good girl when it is clearly a boy?
haishalehaish 1 year ago
This is one of our cows who was 3 years old at the time and
she is not a "he" as evidenced by the fact "she" has had 3 babies
already! LOL

Love the spin! I'm having a hard enough time teaching my dog to spin. Do you just use positive reinforcement (treats?) Do you use a clicker at all?
codydog9 2 years ago
No clicker, just rewarding of positive responses.
