.......forest and untold numbers of animals, trees, and vegetation, forcing many of the surviving animals to come down into edges of human habitation just to find food. It is so nice to know you are ready and willing to finish them off. It’s the kind of Macho we can all be proud of.
@ Markt800, Maybe it will push a cougar or black bear your way. Both can climb trees and would at least have a chance at protecting themselves from a tree-hiding sniper and maybe pick up a little lunch in the process. As you seem pretty aware of the outdoors, I am sure you know how the massive Station Fire last year in the San Gabriel Mountains above this grove wiped out tens of thousands of acres of .......

@cpn kirk. Thanks for your comments. With the original video we did not have time to make a higher resolution compressed file. It seemed more important to get it out as quickly as possible to try to save the forest. Unfortunately the forest has been destroyed by County officials. I am now working on what to do with that footage and with the 3-4 hours I shot yesterday of the County machine in action as they quickly destroyed the forest and used the Sheriff's office to keep journalists ...
It was a noble fight, thank you for preserving at least, video of these magnificant trees. I shudder to think of all the birds and animals displaced. All they wanted were some Acorns
It is sad to report that this video is all that is left of that ancient forest. The County of Los Angeles arrogantly, with all the power & might of the county law enforcement, tore this beautiful forest to shreds, ripping the huge branches from the ancient oaks with heavy clamshell shovels. The Sheriffs said it was a crime scene because the tree sitters who went in committed the crime of trespassing. The real crime was committed by the County Supervisors who knew other options were available
Read the Sierra Madre Tattler, we discovered it is an Arizona company that got the contract. Antonovich is an arsehole, and Arcadia can drown when the dam breaks
Put a name and a face on the idiots who make these decisions so the public can know who it is that needs to be voted out or run out More than likely its an unelected bureaucrat.. that needs to be fired I just think its time to quit saying the county or the state or the government and start say who it is in-particular..I'm so tired of being pissed at "THEM" and "THEY"
Thank you for posting this. I grew up in Arcadia. Why don't they dump it in the landfills in Irwindale, this makes no sense. I'm going to take action tomorrow. Thanks
It is shocking that it is illegal for a citizen to even trim a California Oak on their own property in Pasadena without a permit, yet the County intends to KILL approx 170+ Oaks and 80+ Sycamore Trees without regard.
Some people might not know how large a 26 acre plot is. To put it into perspective, it is a circle with a 600 ft radius. So if you are standing in the center it is about 1/8th of a mile or 2 football fields in any direction.
Something is wrong here. When would it ever be good to cut down a prime native oak habitat to fill it full of debris from storm basins? This plan was discussed in meetings with the public, but only for the traffic concerns! I cry foul! How about filling the old rock quarry holes in So Arcadia and Monrovia?

Any chance this video can be edited to be in higher resolution and have updated credits? People need to see it to prevent this from happening again.
